Deja Vu is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a beautiful, fragile ballad that kicks your teeth down your throat in the chorus. It is extra difficult to sort out, because it tells the story from two perspectives. You know how even evil people think they are the good guys? This is reflected here. One perspective is Yoohyeon's, who gets corrupted right in the beginning. She thinks JiU is bad (does not want to share power) and backstabs her and kills, imprisons or banishes the other members so that she can rule alone. The other perspective is reality, where we can see JiU be kind to Yoohyeon, but she gets killed for it. I believe this is a commentary on the different perspectives people can have about the same event. The lyrics seem to hint at an abusive relationship, where there are usually two perspectives as well, and the abuser finds excuses to justify their actions, while the abused find themselves in an endless Deja Vu.
Thanks for this explanating and interpretation. I also thing it fitts very well, what can happen in abuse realationships. Most peolple, who ar acting abusive, doesn't see it themselves. They are not "evil" but somehow...corrupted. And isn't it so easy to be corrupted in this world, where corruptions often leads and have to much power on the throuts from many beeings? My father is one example of an abuser and often its his pain and old traumtas, that leashed out an my mother, my brother and me. Mostly emotional abusing. He loves us, thats for sure, but his mind is also very corrupted and twisted from his past. I see in myselfe suhc bad reactions and try to stepp away from people in fear of getting like my dad with all his hate and pain against humans. But the more years are getting by, the more emotional abuse in some or another way I experienc myselfe I understand my father more and more and it sometimes...this pain leaves me speachless. Or I talk waaaaay to much. Als often a case. Every time I try to explain myselfe, I getting invalidated and so I have my every tie painful Daja vu.. And at the end, its no ones fault and no one is guilty. So I blame myselfe udn stab myselfe in the hope, that it will help the other persons. My theraphist is sometimes a bit angry about my emotional selfharm, but I learnd no other way to protect otehr from this ugly and corrupted part of me, that I saw in the past and sometimes nowadays, when I speak with my dad. Who I love, but I hate this beaviours, where he hurts us with his narzistic and cholerics traits. I hate them very much.
The best rock ballad in K-Pop. Dreamcatcher released this beautiful song in early 2019, losing a few points to Everglow (with "Adios") for their first win on the weekly music show. The rating was controversial. In fact, on April 20, 2022, Dreamcatcher achieved their first victory in 1,924 days since their debut (January 13, 2017) with “Maison”. For me, "Deja vu" is still one of this group's best songs (despite "Fireflies" - 8/2024). And - thank you very much for your reaction.
If you like this, I have a few suggestions that I suspect you will like, based on three categories, I recommend reacting to all: 1. Similar style: Cosmic by Red Velvet 2. Sad: Love Wins All by IU (featuring V from BTS), you may be the only channel on UA-cam who hasn't reacted to it! 3. Harsh/Rough around the edges: three songs by the solo artist, Bibi. Animal Farm, Bibi Vengeance, and Jotto.

In this song they showed how good every one of them can sing. this one hits me also very hard
they're so good at evoking that emotion. ROSE BLUE always chokes me up but only insomnias will get why!
