The wife and I decided to have breakfast at the Camarillo airport and watch the plans come and go. As luck would have it, the airport was socked in with fog. No traffic whatsoever ever. All of a sudden, just above the runway a TBM breaks out and lands! What a sight. The plane pulled right up to the little cafe. I had no idea those TBM’s were so loud! The pilot shut her down and ran into a little office next to the restaurant. Within 5 minutes the pilot returned carrying a large pizza! He jumped in and away they went. Damn! That is one awesome looking piece of aircraft!
These type planes look so good. The new one with the black finish is something I could look at for hours. Not to mention flying with it. Such a great great plane. Just awesome 🤩
Sure is a beautiful aircraft. Always enjoy watching you on electric power.
Hi Steveo - Was at OSH this past Monday & Tuesday - wend to the TBM display looking to meet you. You were there but surrounded by camera folks so I didn't get the opportunity to meet you. Don't watch many UA-cam videos but I do enjoy yours. Safe flying - - Tom Hendrickson Sr Wonder Lake Illinois
That's just too intense for me. One of the reasons I quit flying in 1988. Just couldn't handle all the traffic and chatter on the radio. I would be a nervous wreck by the time I landed.
Youve got that right. Man theres no time to relax thats for dam sure. Reminds of being locked in a confined space with my wife for an hour.
@@41663 easy now !! lol
great edge of super sonic prop plane! we really needed this thing in WWII man. Very enjoyable flight thank you.
Love the explanation on how you managed everything. Great exterior views
I don't know anything about planes but that one is gorgeous
You greased that landing Steveo! I’m glad I was able to see this airplane at Sun N Fun! Maybe this can be your new aircraft to fly!
I used to live in Apollo Beach and would never miss Sun 'n Fun with my dad. Good memories!
I’m not a pilot. I do dream of it, but at 55 it might not be in the cards. That said, that plane is gorgeous!
Too easy to be a pilot. The question is whether you can make enough money to make it WORTH it, if you don't just have the disposable income! ;)
Go for it, I didn’t get my PPL until I turned 60, flew to the Bahamas in 2019 and got Steveo1Kinevo on the radio as I was taking off from Staniel Cay as he was inbound on his last Caravan flight…..
@@troyjollimore4100 I wish I had enough disposable income to afford flying. But I think I'll stick to 4 wheel fun on the ground.
@@BKetch Years ago I would have stretched for maybe having a Cessna or Piper on a grass field somewhere, but then I read about people MUCH richer than I complaining about how expensive aviation is, and how they were sticking to cars that I couldn't hope to afford as the 'cheaper' option... So, there was another dream dead... But, you can spend $500 or so for a 45 minute flight in an aerobatic plane. Which suddenly seems like a bargain!
@@troyjollimore4100 FiFi will be in my city with a bunch of planes giving rides. I'm going up in one of them. Thinking stearman or T6. $250-600 I think. I'm probably not far richer than you. I'm stretching for a moderately cool car.
I think that craft is above my pay grade. Beautiful aircraft inside and out.
"They opened the airport for traffic after the airshow" Moments later a car drives down the runway, and then there is a random motorcycle sitting on the runway :D
Just like Microsoft Flightsim....
Probably Tom Cruise :)
I see all these SUV and trucks parked practically ON the runway and think,.............uh, no..........tow em.
The motorcycle was a flight marshall. The check exterior for any oddities and leaks. The SUV was the guy on the mic stating all clear.
Damn, if it just had folding wings you could taxi on down to Las Olas Blvd. and pick up chiiiiixxx! It's the Harley of turboprops!
The Black Knight is a beautiful bird!
Hello
I know absolutely nothing about Planes or Flying, but that sure is a beautiful plane. And gather from the conversation in the video it seems like it would be a breeze to fly. Pretty much flies itself once you get all the proper buttons pushed, I'd love to learn to fly a plane like that!!
That 940 is absolutely gorgeous!
Love when SteveO takes control for the landing. Nope, not today autopilot! Hehehe...
Thought they had the game on
Beautiful airplane, looked just as sleek parked, not a pilot but both you gentlemen made it look.so easy! Thank you.
That HomeSafe option is pretty amazing. Beautiful plane also.
Yeah I paused the video to look it up, had no idea anything like that existed!
Edit: and I love the logo for it at 14:15 lol
my first video with you- you seem like a fantastic pilot- calm, competent, professional and confidence building. TBM's are awesome too!
Gorgeous aircraft, as a layman it's really neat to see the modern technology integrated so well with ergonomics and aesthetics alike! Thanks for sharing
The footage you've shared from your flight back to Pompano Beach is incredible, capturing the excitement of aviation. Keep up the great content and safe flying! 🛩✈
