Turning a dishwasher into a parts cleaner that really works.

recently added a couple of dishwashers to the parts room for washing parts. simple chemicals available anywhere have made cleaning parts so easy.

Well,we use Dawn in our house to do dishes when we are out of the right stuff. Like you said, if you use too much,then you get to mop the floor too. 😊😆

I wonder if a normal (or longer "pot n pans") cycle would be enough to damage or etch aluminum parts when using the low temp detergent.

I have washed some aluminum. You definitely have to be careful if it's a polished finish I have noticed spotting like a polished wheel when heavy degreaser or acid based wheel cleaner is used.
That being said non polished I haven't noticed any etching or spotting. I also found a commercial powder detergent that I'd like 30 bucks for a 5 gallon bucket. It works great as well and won't harm the aluminum at all.

Do you use both the powder and the pink fluid together or just the fluid?

Depends on what im washing.. generally just the pink unless the stuff is really nasty.

There was another video that went in depth. For some reason it kept getting flagged. This video was more of explaining the detergent and the difference between detergents that are available.
