Benidorm is located on the Costa Blanca, Spain. Famous for it's beaches, bars, restaurants, nightlife, entertainment, hotels, sightseeing, party atmosphere, excursions, tours and sun. So glad you have earnt the freedom from this great channel so you can do things like this for us. Coming to Benidorm for the first time ever in October, had I never seen your videos years ago to show how nice Benidorm can be Id have never even considered it. Always wanted to do this at Sunset which I hope to do 👍

An idea for a future video. Take the open top bus and show people where that goes and what it is like. Lots of people ask about it.

I know how to get to the cross jump in a taxi and say take me to the cross 😂😂.. am not a person for walking 😂.. great video again keep up the good work wish I was in Benidorm love it
You cannot get all the way there in a taxi. There is still a bit of walking to do (as Lucy shows in her video) then up to the cross on a very uneven path. If you are physically able it is well worth the effort.
@@Carol_in_Spain I’d walk the rest have done but wouldn’t walk the bit that doesn’t need walking to lazy 😂😂
Hi Lucy. That's bleeding mint. 😂😂 . I'll definitely be having ago at that when i can get over. And I'm nearly 70. Last time i did it in foot was bleeding murder 😟😟😟. 😂😂😂 go girl .

Me and the lads got a taxi up there in April from the Don Pancho and it cost around 7 euros for all of us. Then we had a stroll back down and straight into a bar for a well deserved drink or 4 😂 great video Lucy. 👌

Great idea to use electric assisted bikes to get to the cross ⚡️🚲👍. Thanks for the tip about that roundabout, I would have definitely taken the higher road. Wanted do do this in September when I was there but didn’t get around to it, hopefully can come back next month & do the cross 🤞 only just got over the Benidorm Bark which came back with me 😆 proper sore throat, but finally easing off now. Super vid thanks Lucy. I also recommend the 2 wheel electric scooters ⚡️🛴, we took them from Levante end, up to The Grand Bali, around the Old Town and back again, that was super fun and all the cycle / scooter lanes are a brill idea, made it super easy to get around. Keep the fab content coming Lucy 👌👍

I am glad I went up there before they closed the road to general public, that last bit up the rough track is a killer though

It took me 20 years to finally get up there but WOW it was awesome tired legs next day but plenty of bars to recover in 😁😁must admit the electric bikes are something else Thanks for that very informative video Lucy oh best of luck to you both in your new home x

I walked up to it in May, Went the wrong way at first, ended up halfway across the Sierra Gelada mountains before I realised 😂
Gorgeous scenery and it’s so peaceful with just the sound of the birds.
Almost died going up as it’s very steep but worth it in the end 😊

@@chunky1959 Yes I’m sure you can use a scooter to get there. Just be careful though as I’m sure a lady died last year on a scooter 🥹

Aaahh, that's where I went wrong on that little roundabout, my sat nav told me to go straight on past that amazing villa on the left and back down to the prom. Now I know where to go it's the perfect excuse to come back. Thanks for the correct directions and a great channel. 👍🏻👏🏼

We went as far as Merita's bar and after the next roundabout we couldn't decide what direction to go on our first attempt. The 2nd time we went past Magic Rock Garden and even that was tough. Made it and was worth it.
Yes i find thats a tougher route. steeper and not very pretty x

Hi LLucy, what a fantastic video. The first time I went up there was in 1980. I had forgoten how stuningly beautiful it is. There's an awful lot of buildings that weren't there then but I don't think they detract from it at all. Hope you are enjoying your retirement and are keeping well and thanks for a really enjoyable video.😀👍.

Brilliant Lucy I arrived In Benidorm last Monday with my wife Jenny and on the Tuesday we both had a lovely walk up to the cross we stopped at the meritas bar for a pint for me n a gin for Jenny lol before we continued up to the cross , Iv done a video of us walking up but not uploaded it yet it’s a great walk n will be doing it again next year wen we come back to Benidorm, it was ur first visit to Benidorm and we both loved every minute of our time there ‘ take care Danny 👍🏻👍🏻

What speed are these bikes locked at ? 15.5 mph in uk I do love my Raleigh e-bike gets me to & from work every day Yes easier downhill though 🙂 Select full power up our steepest hills and they are a breeze no changing out of seventh gear required Nice tour to the cross Doubt I would walk up probably Taxi up and walk down after, stopping at a bar for a Cold drink

Your videos are really interesting and informative. There's a lady who serves at The Rovers Return Benidorm who looks a bit like you. I nearly asked her if she was the lady who did the Benidorm videos but she might have wondered what videos I was referring to lol!

Its funny - I am far from religious but I do like visiting religious sites - go to Salisbury or York and they have cathedral so just go for look - pretty sure I'd visit the cross too - there is a sort of spiritual calming at such places - can't explain why but for me there is
Good video Lucy, think I might drive up there when I come in a couple of weeks, don't usually have my car but on this occasion I do, I'd love to catch up whilst I'm there and get you a couple of Pina Coladas or whatever you like as your videos have helped me loads!

I lived there for 8 years, its a steep hill from the beach yeah, better if you walk up Calle Londres or the street after. Gotta admit i didn't walk it many times in those 8 years! x

Hi Lucy. I've now watched all of this video. I was thinking if getting a taxi up as far as we could, but then I saw there's still quite a bit of road to go from where the bollards are to the start of the path, so I thought I'd take the mobility scooter after all. Can you tell me please if the bollards are wide enough to get the scooter through? Thanks. Kath

Its sunny at the moment but supposed to change kater today if the forecasts are to be believed. I never trust them for Benidorm tbh our climate here is very unique

Hi Lucy. Thanks for this great vlog. Could you please tell me if we could take our double mobility scooter most of the way up to the cross? I don't have time to watch videos of this lengrh all in one go, so I haven't seen to the end yet ( but I will). Is there somewhere we can park the scooter ( hopefully near the top) then walk the last bit? Or is the road too steep for a scooter - would we be better off getting a taxi up there? Many thanks.
It needs a bar or restaurant up the top of the Cross.

The best way to get to the cross is to go down on your knees and pray Lord forgive me for my sins , come into my heart , and make me new in you Jesus ! Amen .
