@@Nico-rw1uo they said 90 days in europe, 90 days in morocco, then 90 days europe, then repeat, thats fine...agree its not an easy life, but what they proposed was OK for 90/180
Agree, but things are changing. The 90 day rule has meant that many Brits without residency have had to sell their caravans or apartments and return to Britain. That means fewer Brits to support British cafes and bars, so they will close. Those with residency are going back to Britain too as they fear being on their own as the British immigrant community gets smaller and smaller. Brits can’t go to Spain for summer jobs in bars as it’s almost impossible to get work permits for low skilled work. There’s less British staff which will upset the most bigoted holidaymaker. Then there’s talk of hotels scrapping all inclusive as it’s unsustainable in this economic climate, too much waste, bar staff etc rarely get tips when drinks are free and people don’t carry cash, so they feel overworked and unappreciated. All inclusive is also bad for the environment with the wastage and extra food mileage. So once all inclusive has gone there will be even fewer Brits in Benidorm. But that’s not a problem. The tourist industry will need to attract tourists from other countries who have the benefits of EU passports. The resort will clean up. Fewer and fewer mobility scooters getting in everyone’s way, we’ll see bars and restaurants run by French, German and Polish nationals. A better tourist clientele will result. @@tricia1159thankyou for the information I'd best get my skates on
when the lady said "10k per month" for a rental property, did she actually mean per year? or per month? Sounds like alot!
Would you still get your state pension from the uk upon moving to Spain?
Well, Brexit has worked out brilliant... if you're not British.. i have been told, from next year you will also need to get a permit off of the british gov to go on holiday in Europe. TG for my irish passport
Easy answer go by dinghy you'll be allowed to stay
@sausagefingers1272 Another own goal with Brexit. 🤦 Britain now begging other countries to stop refugees travelling to the UK, as if France Germany Spain etc care that Britain are Squandering hundreds of millions trying to keep folk out. A complete laughing stock of a country, run by backhand paid lobbyists, voted in there by the stupid.
Interesting.
Any educational visas if you want to study at a Spanish university?
Very informative thanks.......
10 thousand euro a month ! From rental surely she meant to say a year ?
Hi, how long does the 1st visa take to get time wise please?
Same restrictions should be to live in uk
My husband has lived in Spain since he was 5 he moved back when he was 21 he still has his NIE could we move back??
Did he have Residencia?
Fascinating stuff Lucy, thanks very much. I have a question please - around 1999 to 2000 we bought property on Menorca and my parents and I all had NIE numbers, are these still valid and if so, how can they be obtained if required?? Can this still be used to live in Spain??
Cheers Lucy, take care and all the best xx
gotta register on all levels if you are invisible think.. need a tia now in brexit!
NIE numbers do not change like your National insurance number But National Police issue residencias ( ask Spanish Embassy/,,Spanish National Police...Some residencias when issued were permanent some for 5 years some for 2 years ) Good Luck
Yes your NIE number is for life but that doesnt give you any entitlements with regards visas. Even if you have an NIE you still need to meet the other requirements to obtain residency
@@LucyYoungTBE1990 I lived in Benidorm for about 18 months had NIF ( YES NIF).Returned many years. Later ask solicitor to renew my residencia She told me they expire after 5 years. And reapply Not true you have to surrender your residencia my paperwork shows 1990 as my date of residence That's why I keep saying ask someone who
Knows ,,My fully qualified solicitor didn't know MINEFIELD COMES TO MIND
@@Guapaahi Yes residencias are different, an NIE is basically just a social security number, not a residency.
And remember you have to apply for your visa from the Uk. Manchester, London, Edinburgh
Thank god the Irish government classes me as an Irish citizen even though I was born & bred in the uk! I’m currently getting my Irish passport & hoping to go that route.
I need to know if it complicates things that my business (currently freelancing), banking & driving license are in UK though?
I've just seen another video that mentions self employment visa's and others. You say there are only these 3. Who is correct?
Another good video Lucy I agree with other message we shot ourselves in the foot voting BREXIT 😢
Maybe leaving the EU was not such a good idea.
😂🤦♂️
Correct
Why? So a tiny number of Brits can go retire in Benidorm.
@@1Percyvideos yes, but you can't just up and retire their..it's not like UK where we take anyone
@@waynekerrr9027 but loads more to see then Spain or Europe. I wouldn’t give them my money for how they treat the British anyway. Retire in New Zealand, it’s lovely or Australia
As a married couple with UK passport aged 63and 62 we want to retire and move to menorca, on an NLV visa. The figures you mentioned is that every year for five years then you can become a resident? Also if we are living over there and reach retirement age do we qualify for free heath care?
I wish 🏴
Your brother Henri was some player, Paul.
So basically it’s almost impossible for a normal person to move to Spain, absolutely crazy
I got an NIE and social security number in 2019. Can I use any of these?
Brexit a nightmare on elm street 😩
The Spanish have never liked us even before Brexit ever happened
@@stubru16 I’m thinking freedom of movement
@@glenparker8458 freedom of movement to where exactly? Europeans don’t like us they never have even before Brexit.
@@stubru16 y do u think that we lost our freedom of movement at the end of the day regardless
Is that 28 thousand euros per year income. A state pension would be around £12,000 a year.
What about the people who buy caravans at say el raco and live there for 6 months of the year ?
As long as they are sticking to the 90 day rule they are here as tourists not residents
@@AlexGys9it's legal if they only stay for 90 days out of 180
90 days in then have to leave for 90 days
When married and only one has an Irish passport.
Will both couples be aloud into Spain, with just the Irish passport ?.
Yes, a non EU passport holder can accompany an EU passport holder without the 90/180 day restriction
@@petermansion2220 Thank you for fast reply.
Anyone that is English but has grandparents from ireland can apply for a irish passport and you can move to spain on the irish passport 🇮🇪👍
I thought that to qualify for the NL visa there was an additional requirement in the first year to stay for 183 straight days at a residential address in Spain. Is this true and if so how can you guarantee that when family back in the UK may need you to return ( eg for a funeral or other unforeseen circumstances) that you would not be granted the visa? Many thanks to anyone who can answer this one.
It's a minimum 183 days out of a year, doesn't have to be in 183 straight days 👍
@@LucyYoungTBE Thank you for clarifying that.
What for people who married to someone in spain with permanent residency?
Nice to know
Just need to win the lottery
Or the Brexit vote gets reversed. Hope you didn't vote leave....
How long does it take to get none working visa
3-6 months
One think which is not mentioned in this video, if a brit he or she get married in Spain?
We've got roughly £200k after house is sold we were gna buy a caravan in fuengirola but the application fees for visas, the health insurance and the ground rent for the van will break us, staying in the rain and cold in Sheffield..dreams in tatters gutted
If my partner has an Irish passport and me British only have I got same rights as her?
No, you only have automatic rights for the country they are a citizen. i.e Ireland.
You can apply for a visa for another EU country and the process will be simpler. confact Kelly for more info, the link is in the video description
@@LucyYoungTBEthat's not true, family members travelling with an EU passport holder aren't subject to the 90/180 day rule
@@petermansion2220 I was meaning applying for Spanish residency.
