New Audi e-tron GT Prototype Suspension Lift System

The Audi e-tron GT prototype features an advanced suspension system with a Curve Tilting Function. This system is somewhat similar to the Active Ride Control found in the latest Mercedes-AMG supercars. Both systems provide independent hydraulic control at each wheel. However, the system used by Audi and Porsche is fully active rather than semi-active, allowing it to adjust the car’s height to a flat position. This adjustment is what the Curve Tilting Function primarily handles.
Moreover, this function is useful for lifting the vehicle when it’s stationary. This lift facilitates easier entry and exit from the car by activating an access mode. Interestingly, the Curve Tilting Function is designed to operate in Comfort mode instead of Dynamic mode. This setting choice is significant because, in Comfort mode, the focus is on a smooth and stable ride rather than enhancing the driver's feel for the road at high speeds, which can be critical for making quick driving decisions.
