Vai is my favorite composer and I've been really into his material for a long time. Where did he find a rhythm guitar player -w- no rhythm? Not a fan of Weiner at all especially his songs but... Vai needs him back. Bad.
It sounds like there’s some pretty weird phase cancellation or something happening in the recording, you can’t hear anything I was playing. Come to a show, let me prove you wrong
@@DanteFrisiello Either the A1 had your delayed effect output louder than your amp or whatever but at 3:00?? and your hands in the video from 4:00 on is telling the entire rhythm story that I was referencing. The signal presented to the microphone in this video is not lying concerning what people heard that night for whatever reason. (phase is only 1/2 of one frequency cycle so...) I'm not hating and good on you for having the gig and making music that people like myself enjoy. Good on all of you for that! I guess I was just bummed a bit after seeing Vai and band in top form recently in some other recent videos.
@@DanteFrisiello you should take constructive criticism especially since you're new to the Steve Vai band. I could instantly "feel" something was off, it felt like your guitar playing was trying to fight the tempo. Maybe you're still adjusting to the band, but I don't believe it has to do with phasing because or delays because they're filming literally in front of the stage. We all know you're a good guitar player but listening to other peoples unfiltered feedback, even if you think they are wrong, goes a long long way especially when you're in the stage of trying to prove to Vai fans that you earned that spot to be his rhythm guitarist.
