no matter if you own an apple product or a samsung or a flip phone, Foxconn assembles 40% of the electronics for a diverse range of electronic companies including the hp that I'm typing on (sadly). The only way to help these people is to quit electronics entirely. But seeing as they need the money, it would also be hurting them. These poor factory workers are landlocked.

People complain, and if apple changes and go to other, their product will be even more expensive than competitors (That do the same thing in factories) and people will buy the competitors brand, even though the competitor is cheaper because it is produced in the same way. Im not saying this is right (and this will change because China Standard of living is rising, witch will rise the cost of labor) but Im saying that Apple and Foxccon should not take all the blame of something that almost all companies in a global position and in this free global market does.
But, at least to some degree, public opinion can change things, I will paste a part of a Harvard case, describing how apple responded to this reality:Responding to what has been described as the human cost of contract manufacturing, Apple addressed the issues facing its supply chain in part by joining the Fair Labor Association, an independent association that sets global standards, monitors and reports plant performance, and supports compliance. Apple worked to ensure that suppliers met its standards of safety, pay, working conditions, and environmental practices-requirements for working with the company-through Fair Labor Association audits that have doubled since Apple became aware of problems at Foxconn

We-the America/Canadian or European consumers are to blame as well. We fight for a spot in line to be the first of our friends to buy this needless stuff. We feed the monster that is Apple and similar corporations. Imagine if Apple released its next product and everyone boycotted, refused to buy?

Foxconn also creates Samsung devices. If we really wanted to get rid of these low wage jobs, we as consumers would have to start paying more.

I think I know why some workers choose to commit suicide.Adults don't commit suicide, but there are a lot of workers who are not adults at all, some of them are under 15, and their schools send them to factories for internships and then they get benefits from the factories, and the students have to go to internships or they won't graduate. The students are not strong enough to overcome these stuff and that is why。Students are paid less than 1 dollar for one hour

Well now think a little about it. You saw how they live. If they earned 2 dollars per hour they all would be quite rich there in China. They probably work 10-15 hours a day for like 100-150 dollars per month.
Here in Poland according to stats people earn on average 1200 dollars per month. The point is bosses earn a lot while 90% not much. Most of people earn around of minimum wage of 350-450 dollars per month. I've got less than 2$ per hour if I sit there enough nights it will be around 350$
