Pailin's Kitchen I need one help , I love coconut milk but extracting it from tender coconut is the biggest tough 🥥 how do u do that ? I don’t want to buy canned coconut milk
I had this salad once at a hospital cafeteria in Thailand. It's the best salad I ever had. Can't imagine how great it'd be if I made it myself fresh from scratch and now I know how. Thanks, Pai.
Pai, i dont know what i would do without you. I love how you never cut corners. have used so many of your recipes. You have made me give up going out to thai restaurants because your recipes are the real deal. I genuinely appreciate your honest, unhindered advice. Love you and your recipes.
Me too. Pai is the best! I too can now enjoy and have fun cooking Thai food (my favorite), without spending 3X more at the restaurants. I enjoy restaurants, but now I can enjoy Thai food every day economically.
I love her show. She explained every detail that makes it everything easy as it is. I made it according to her details.....was so yummy!!! Thanks Pailin💕
This is the best Thai Peanut Salad Dressings I've encountered so far - I did not have tamarind so I just used lime juice and it works really well. You can also substitute chili powder and onion for the shallots. I use coconut cream powder mixed with water instead of coconut milk and peanut butter if you don't have fresh peanuts. Tastes wonderful regardless of not having all the fresh ingredients
I made this today and it was fantastic!! I followed the recipe really closely (so I ended up frying the potato fingers as well) and although it took me some time to finish it was so well worth it. Thank you!
if you eat satay in malaysia, this is the sauce (gravy) that will be served. my mother always fry up the dried chillies, tamarind (with seeds), onion, garlic, peanuts. then she will soak the chillies in hot water until tender. pound up the peanuts. blend the chillies, onion and garlic. she will sauté the chili onion garlic paste until very fragrant in a low heat, until the oil starts to surface. then adds in the roughly pound peanuts. coconut milk. salt. palm sugar. roughly pound up some lemon grass and add it to the gravy. she also adds sliced up ginger sometimes. then she let it simmer slowly. the tamarind will be added at the last stage, to bind everything up. get rid of the tamarind seeds first by soaking it in water. if she's feeling fancy, she will slice some beef and add those too. it's so good. i can have this all day everyday and eat it with anything. Yours look delicious too!
Going back to rewatch your videos as bg noise for studying for finals and I just noticed your shirt and hadn't noticed it last time I watched omg I love it!
I really want to make this. Looks delicious!!! I adore Thai food and you simply delightful! I appreciate your tonality, pacing, honesty, straightforward instructions, explanations, and passionate fun!!! Thank you!

Pailin, Your recipes and professional presentations are fantastic, some of the best I have ever seen! I'm not sure which looks more appetizing , you or the recipes - yumm!
I love salad with peanut sauce and gado gado is one of my all time faves. This is one heck of a salad!! It's got everything I like :D Thanks so much for sharing this, I'll give it a shot. Oh and I love your t-shirt!
Oooh, this salad must be the "brother" of the Malaysian "Jaganan", also a vegetable-based salad with a peanut-ty & spicy sauce. The Malaysian version can sometimes also include dried shrimp or belacan ("kapi") to add more zing to the sauce. Other suggested vegetables that work well with this dip - blanched lightly to taste - cabbage, long beans (snake beans), beansprouts, water spinach ("pak bung"). If one has no time to make those potato matchsticks, prawn crackers might work as a quick substitute.
I love your videos and I used to watch your cooking TV Show . I tried to find the look for the recipe of this I video following the link you left. It doesn’t give chance to search dressing or salads. Thanks
this GADO GADO twin!! a lil bit just a liiiiiil bit different. like almost no differences :D U are really dope!! I absolutely love the Brass handled pot you used to fry the tofu. Any ideas where these can be found. What are they called. Maybe on Amazon or eBay if they have a regular name. I love this pot !!!
Hey William! She tells me she picked it up in Thailand - so doesn't know where to get it here unfortunately. I checked "brass wok" on Amazon, and given that her's is about 9-10 inches across it might be one of these? www.amazon.com/s/field-keywords=brass+wok
I’m Mexican and i love Thai food and also your recipes the only bad thing is that most of the time I can’t find some of the spices in the grocery store. It would be great if you tell us for what substitute. Thanks

Lol! Yes I end up with spicy coffee for a week :) Adam
Hi Pailin, can I substitute peanuts with anything else, because of nuts allergy?
I use Fish sauce instead of salt to give a richer savory taste.
That looks so good!
