Natalie it's so fun seeing you in Wisconsin my home state! I think you would have liked Fox River Fibers in Big Bend better. Larger selection and phenomenal service! They have wonderful displays and represent WI so well! Cream city yarn sadly was a let down for me when I experienced bad customer service a few times. They made me feel like it was a burden to answer questions.
I recently made my first trip to Cream City Yarn and loved the yarn choices and samples! The space is well lit, and the yarn selection is superb! Also "Tosa" means Wauwatosa, which is a nearby suburb. I'm not sure that was ever explained.
I just moved to a Oconomowoc and visited Cream City Yarn last weekend. I had a nice chat with Linda who was very helpful in explaining the store layout and the classes they offer. I picked up some beautiful dk minis for winter weight socks and a Cream City Yarn tunic length sweatshirt that is unbelievably soft and will get a lot of wear this fall and winter! I’ll be stopping in again soon !!
This is such a neat store! I’m in town for the weekend for a wedding and was so excited to realize I was so close to the store. Saw the video last night and made a trip out today. Thanks for the great recommendation.
Thanks Natalie for another yarn store video. Love all the bright colors. I was on the laptop last night watching a tutorial on how to knit zig zag stitch. Got out my 8 needles and some scrap yarn to try it out. I've done it years ago but needed a refresher course.
I live like 15min away I’m gonna have to check it out. I checked out another one in Delafield Wi and that’s also a lovely shop. ❤ what I really need is to find a local knit/crochet group. 😂
I really didn't know that another city has a signature brick. But it makes sense since old brick would be the color of the region's clay. First I'd heard of Savannah having one was when my bee club wanted to build a water wall and wanted to use a stock of reclaimed brick.
Love those bucket bags! Any hope of finding out what pattern that dainty white(pales coloured raglan cardigan in the window is? Looks like it is knit in lace weight, maybe silk mohair. I loved the eyelet raglan shaping. A perfect little classic
Wow, you are in Brookfield at one of our beautiful yarn shops! I live in Waukesha. I have partcipated in two Wandering Ewe yarn crawls. Do you have any crocheters at your retreat? I crochet and and love the idea of a retreat in Door County?
Hi Natalie. I’m really interested in finding how to follow all the knit stores you go to and record. There’s so many things you’re involved in it’s hard to keep track. I just want to follow your stores and where are you go on your travels and all that. I’m a little overwhelmed with all that you do. I figure you can tell me pretty simply how to follow you in your different categories. Thanks so much, sweetie!
Hey Rosalie! If you're looking to keep up with us on a daily basis and in real time, Instagram stories is going to be the best way to do that (@knittynatty). If you're looking for all the yarn stores tours in one place, I have a playlist linked in each of the video. I'll link it here: bit.ly/YarnStoreToursKN
The store is great but the owner is NOT kind (she’s miserable more often than not when customers come in) and the classes are wildly hit or miss - including teachers who tell you to just look things up on UA-cam instead of teaching. After one remarkably bad experience (and a handful before) we vowed to never return. There are much more amazing yarn stores not far from here who just don’t have a big social media presence - worth seeking out.
Wow. Hiding behind a generic name to bring down a small business. Use your real name so we know it is a real review. And show us receipts before you make such accusations.
@@radhikam2401 How do people provide receipts for their non-filmed, lived human experience?!? Furthermore how would I even post any of that here - wild ask. People have different experiences, good for you if you’ve had a great one. We, consistently, did not. It sucks but it’s life.
@@T-sm1wushow receipts of yarn and class purchase. Simple. Show proof. Why getting so defensive!? 😅 hiding being YT and cribbing about life lot easier than showing proof, eh!?
I’ve tried multiple times to link a receipt and YT won’t play nice. Then I realized…a) I’m not sure why you are so invested and b) I also don’t care. I know my experience and I know I’m not alone amongst the local knitting community. It’s a shame but we have other options. So be it.
Next time you're in Wisconsin, visit Fiber Fever in Bay View. It's truly lovely and the owner is an absolute joy.

Yes! One year we did a granny square class! This year we will dablle in some spinning. All fiber lovers are welcome.
@@nicoleanderson3347 Thank you! Now I need to sign up for your newsletter-for sure!
(Nebraska) If you need one - Spindle Shuttle and Needle. Not only is she a yarn shop, she is ALSO a full FIBER mill!
Aww thank you! We did make it to Nebraska and our tour will be out in a few weeks. 😁

What a fun shop! They seem to do a lot of activities and have a nice selection of products. 👏 🧶
Absolutely!
Cute shop but haven't been back since the Covid days and rules. Are they still doing appointments scheduling?
15:40 what is the pattern for the diamond colourwork shawl in the background here? It’s absolutely stunning!!!
That’s the Artus shawl!!! It’s gorgeous.
