- Let delve in to another Pride Mobility Go-Go L scooter with a broken transaxle. Repairing the LX transaxle seem to be a common thing knower days. Let hope it's not like the stream of Solax Transformers I got in for repair and its just a one off?

thanks for the video great repair
Hey Blue, thanks for watching.
Since I don't have access to parts for the inner workings of the transaxle, I just swap them out. Quicker, easier and definitely cleaner. I never saw the inside before. Thanks for the video. It was informative. I learned that I never want to tear into the transaxle. 😅
David I totally agree swapping them out is the only way to guarantee a problem free solution to a failing transaxle. Yes, you can repair them and yes, it's messy but if one component has failed others will follow.
Another nice one Ian. Had to do the same on a Go Go Ultra x last year and what a messy job. Say hi to Jenny from both of us and be lucky.
Hey Clive, yeah I remember you saying you replace the bearings on one. Jenny say's hi.
thank you for all your videos. I have two elite travelers . I have had the trans-axle out of one to replace the drive bearings once, but now it sounds like the axle block bearings are bad. Do you have any idea what size the axle bearings are? I would like to order the bearings before I disassemble the scooter. I would like to press the old bearings out of the mounting block and replace them. Thanks again..
No sorry I dont.
Where can i get the washer?
If you are asking about a washer for the transaxle, try hunting around your local hardware store see if they have anything or try an auto parts oil drain plug washer see if they have anything that fits.
I think the LXs are made cheaper somehow. I have folks here that abuse the crap out of Ultras, Ultra Xs, Elite Travellers, Sports and never have an issue with the transaxles.
I've seen the odd one or two other models that have needed replacement transaxles but not as many as the LX. I did bring it to Pride's RD department attention that the transaxle was a week point.
Why don't people take a little pride in their ride and at least keep them clean?
I guess that's what we are for lol
