You are riding really good on that gravel To say you we’re both on vintage bikes with skinny tyres and you had little time to get used to the bikes. You had never been to that area before. Not bad Amy, not bad at all.
No shame in walking down steep grades on an unfamiliar bike. I once climbed a grade, so steep , that when I turned to go down, I had to ask for a lift for me and the bike. The driver said, " That's why you're still alive. You understand when there is real danger." Cheers to both of you! That looked fun.
Walking is absolutely the right thing to do, a couple of friends do this every year and keep trying to persuade me to do it, might do it after seeing this, wonderful
Thanks Amy and Kyle for sharing your experience. Loved every minute of it. I've been to Italy (including Siena) so it was special to me. I cycled in Tuscany but haven't done L'Eroica. That would be awesome, as you already know! I'm so happy you had to opportunity to do it. Chow, Bella!
Another excellent video Amy and what an awesome trip that was, thanks for sharing your adventures with the rest of us around the globe! You enthusiasm and joy for cycling is great to see. BTW there was a 53y.o male cyclist spotted decending a hill in Coffs Harbour, Australia this morning yelling yipeeeee wooooohooooo (might have been me) please keep the great content coming. JP
Love those throw back jerseys very cool. No shame in walking and so nice that man helped you get that sorted amazing. There seems to be no limit to the great views there wow. Yippee!!! You deserve all this Amy, and you keep telling yourself that. Nice dancing very appropriate moment. Amy you're an apple a day girl for sure. Great trip and videos ding dang dilleo indeed TTFN to you AMY!!!
Stonking! I did the L'Eroica Britannica in 2015 and 2017 from Bakewell through the Peak District..Fantastic ride, great atmosphere but the original blows it out of the water! That's another one to add to the list for next year. Anyway, you both looked like you had a cracking time. It's amazing where a bit of creativity, hard work and personality can take you. I'm sure the adventures will keep on rolling.
Grand Tour Project trip .. 🫶👏👏👏👏.. definitely going to book .. thanks for showing my partner and I what a blast 🚴♀️🚴♀️.. the tours are .. cheers 🍻 🍎🫶
Thank you for sharing your rides this week. The views have been amazing, as has your enthusiasm. Congratulations on making it through all that gravel on the final day, and congratulations to Michael too, wherever he may be! I have one request though: can someone make sure that there's a camera on Nige when he sees the bit about the loose shifter lever?
Great series ... thank you for sharing. If I still lived in the UK I'd look to do one of the Grand Tour events, but Australia is just a bit to far away.
That looked like a fantastic ride. I can't wait to go and do that ride myself. I've did the L'Eroica California ride last year and it was a fun ride but doesn't look like it even compares to the original.
It's funny, cycling seems to be getting so expensive nowadays but you have one of your best days on a eight,s steelie, lifes not all about biggest and best🙂
Don't worry about fitting the Jersey Amy it will srink if washed in the washing machine. The latest jersey are not as back as the original 100% woolen jerseys Ciao
Hi Amy & Kyle What an opportunity, what an adventure. Italy 🇮🇹 is the Mecca of cycling for mine. Try to have all my bikes Italian themed and all my clothes too. Amy, what do you do for a job as you have really made your channel take off from its fledgling days x Best to you both for 2024
@@amy.cycling.adventures yes i started road riding in 87 - it was the holy grail to have campag groupsets. Took 2 years to save up for my first proper roadbike - Pete Matthews handbuilt 531c campag chorus group and wheels, cinelli bars & stem and miche post and selle saddle. Pete was doing bike fits then, so its not a new thing, a true master craftsman and wheelbuilder - that bike fitted like a saville row suit. I was off! The really big difference for mine has been the clothing, it was awful back than and even worse as the temp dropped much tougher as protection was a minimal lol.
Unfortunately what were once very down-to-earth events are being totally ruined by companies that charge an absolute fortune and pamper their clients rotten. I know, not much that can be done about it, but it's transformed the nature of cycling. A bit of a shame, really. p.s. it might have been worth mentioning that the full Eroica is actually 209 km long.
Nobody does retro better than the Italians ! Like belonging to a different decade for the day .. Perfect day out.
I feel Kyle has grown in happiness during this trip 😂
Brilliant well done both of you love watching you both. You’re such a ray of sunshine!😊😅

Beautiful ride. Wonderful event.
That was fantastic co, Rele well Dun Both of you . Really good job 👍👍😺😺😺💞
16:01 that hill looks steep, but exciting. i live in San Francisco, we have steep hills and it’s scary at times.
That’s awesome I love those classic bikes
hahhaha so cool, im just back from there. (i know these videos are quite late). Was beautiful. The White Road was very special ;)
Kyle’s a natural dancer 🎊
Great series ... thank you for sharing. If I still lived in the UK I'd look to do one of the Grand Tour events, but Australia is just a bit to far away.
I did London to Brighton many years ago with slipping gears, to be shown at the end jow to tighten up the changer!😂😂😂
😂
Crackin' trip 👌👌
Great stuff you guys , looks fantastic scenery and roads , so well done 👍👍
I still have my 1982 Fuji, but I don’t think I’d travel all of the way to Italy with it.
That looked like a fantastic ride. I can't wait to go and do that ride myself. I've did the L'Eroica California ride last year and it was a fun ride but doesn't look like it even compares to the original.

Magnifique !
love the stringback gloves, bit of extra purchase 😅
Yes couldn't resist!
Love to do that, but on my modern S Works Tarmac bad boy
Great video Amy! Does anyone do bikes and food better than the Italians? I think not!
Kyle's top of the hill dance was long overdue 😅😅😅
Yes it was!! 😂

It was such a great ride!
I work in the NHS in finance ☺️

@@neilplatt1111 ahh that’s awesome bet it felt great to get that bike! Haha yes I can imagine it wasn’t as comfy!
Bikes with skinny tyres that's how it should always be,well done amy
I think that the guy who fell into the ditch was maybe Christian Slater?
Who needs exorbitant modern bikes that can't be fully serviced a home.
I presume it’s mandatory to ride a vintage italian bike then…. is Di2 allowed or is it banned 😂
You have to ride a pre 1987 bike so no Di2 allowed! 😂
A good challenge for yourself if you get to do it again, No Getting off the Bike, Ride all the way, I know you can do it
Unfortunately what were once very down-to-earth events are being totally ruined by companies that charge an absolute fortune and pamper their clients rotten. I know, not much that can be done about it, but it's transformed the nature of cycling. A bit of a shame, really.

You need to be careful when typing the name of this event into your search engine.
not many Girls out there...Do you have modern tyres please, obviously not tubeless as the rims are not sealable.
Hiya! I’m not actually sure what tyres were on the bike but yes they were modern ones
Will you please stop making these videos and making all of us insanely jealous .....
Sorry! 🫣
