can we just admire how BRILLIANT this editing is???
Best short movie 2023
Can we just admire the original masterpiece?
Bro its not the original 💀
@@bruh_amindothey said editing not animation

honestly having the "antagonist" be e^ipi is pretty genius, its something so simple its easy to "discover" by accident, but also something completely alien and inexplicable, but *also* it ultimately is just a simple equation that naturally follows from the rules of math
I didn't even know that e^ipi is -1
@@jakeleo4518 well now you do
Is there really one comment?
@@lukasschriefer799no
It’s spelled e^(iπ)
I’m 7th grade going to 8th and this video is helping me understand math more with the explanation of Alan’s video
8th grade now
the fact that we are learning from this more than school
Incredible explanations and analysis, this might be my favorite out of them all!
imagine what the screenplay looks like.
This should be an Apple Arcade game it will present a fun side of Math and will therefore will draw in more people into becoming interested in it
Me encantaría ver juegos así
Apple cares only about your money, not about your education
Something I haven't seen anyone really talk about is that at 6:04, where TSC is trying to hit a decimal/imaginary spot on the unit circle with a real number and keeps missing, could be a reference to how a whole number can never truly "hit the mark" of a decimal value
If you wondering how the circle is growing, there are allies which grab the θ and π to help TSC expanding the circle, minute 10:04
Oh wow I didn't spot that e taking the theta away, but why would there be allies...
how to write the symbols
like pi and other ones
@@talamioros i think it's the other way around, the r, -, and θ were the one doing the "taking away" of some of the "enemies," and they (specifically, r) were helping expand the circle.
I now understand that Alan Becker may be a creative genius
One of his animators/editors actually was a math nerd and asked for something like this, ultimately Alan doesn’t get any of the math happening but he does say everything is mathematically correct?
He is so genius That has no limitations 😳😳😳 that's incredible 😮
15:09 ϕ is indeed the golden ratio, some observant people have noticed that it moves in discrete (but ϕ related) steps.
In the context of the narrative, we are in the imaginary world. It remains uncertain whether the Golden Ratio, renowned for its mathematical significance, exists within this fictional realm. While other symbolic elements hold specific and purposeful connotations within this imaginative world, a query arises concerning the potential relevance of the Golden Ratio in this context.
@@dbz7256 there's no explicit relevance, but imaginary or not, that's the realm of *_numbers_* -- so ϕ should "exist" in there, just like e, π, r, or θ... The most common interpretation i've seen was that the "critters" spawned in just to make "eipi" feel less alone.
Ykw I've never seen a scientific breakdown of this video with science.
Credits to Alan for the animation, and credits to you for the scientific breakdown.
Great explaination!
You made me more confused XD
ayo alan beckers math vs animation video is famous
the mysterious world of math is so complicated
5:29 made me laugh
Same here I had stop the video to make sure that is what I saw. 😆
7:20 i like the way he tried to break the 0 like an egg
for me math is so very hard so I'll never understand this math, but this animation is so very good
for TSC discovering e^(i*pi) for the 2nd time, i*i = i^2
i^2*i = i -1 or i e^(i*pi)
-1 is e^(i*pi) which means -1 is e^(i*pi) but simplified. so thats how he discovered e^(i*pi).
i like how they made binary exponents with 4 'word' length there at 4:00 , that was good timing
Dang the head animator of Alan's team was that smart..
The math captions are very cool and all, but INVENTORY.
What’s the issue with inventory ??
Bro put the goofy ahh typewriter sound effect at the intro to make him look more smarter bruh i'm dying fr 😭😭😭
Not knowing they ended up creating a formula to create teleportals, dimensionsnal portals, mutiversal portals, and dangerous holes to some dangerous spaces.
This... I don't if those formulas are actually working in real life but that'd be scary... and at the same time crazy wow.
The fact TSC created a huge laser blast capable of mass destruction is the scary one.
that was awesome thanks for the explanation
Whole history of math explained in Alan's vidoe😭
How did you guys make this video? That's incredible!
5:29 is a excellent pause moment 😆
e^i pi = cos(pi)+isin(pi)
e⁰=1
1-1=0
e^i pi/4
This is unit circle 45 dregrees
i= e^i pi/2
An unit circle
Radian ---> radius
2×pi radian
R is for unit circle size
O just changing the leght
Half circle = pi
Pi= cos + sin
Isin roated 90°degeress
Cos(pi)+ i sin(pi) = -1
-1=e^i pi take -1 out.
e^x= 1+x+x²/2!+x³/3!+...+x^m/m!

One about geometry just came out, think you can do that one?
Cool
The easter eggs are everywhere!
Just tell people, that every thing shows in theirs screen is just number with associates with mathematics functions.
As a 6 to 7 grader. I… jeez math is so complicated
Great explanations. They either show me the logic, or make me realize I don't know enough to understand certain things. There are two references I don't understand.
At 7:00, what does the circle have to do with quaternions? Is the circle a sphere?
And at 7:06, I don't understand what z=r*theta refers to.
It's a concept in concept analysis referring to a complex numbers being seen as an angle * the norm (length of the radius)
@@ruthanneparkes1464 Interesting! But would that give different complex numbers the same representation? For example both -i and 2 would be represented by pi.
08:18 isso me faz pensar na teoria do big bang, na expansão do universo assim como nisso. Até na matemática vemos Deus. The Fibonacci Sequence
even with the animation i still dont grasp some of the areas of math's like algebra & find the area of some 7 sided object drawn by Picaso , addition subtraction multiplication divison & fractions yep got all that but the other funky stuff nope dont get it all i got back then was an headache ............
e^π is amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing

Hi
R⁵
Great!
E^i.pi
Out of everyone’s over analysis with Math Vs Animation, your interpretation is my favorite because not only does it make the math make sense, but it also explains the continuity of the storyline and how everyone’s interactions work out.
Hi
I think it's cool that Euler's monster creates an integral from the infinite function the TSC is using to delete its other iterations, but once TSC adds the function to the unit circle of the complex plane and applies cos and isin to the function the integral breaks because an integral can't handle complex multi-variable infinite functions. The level of thought that the creator put into this is truly incredible.
I imagine that there was a team behind the production, but I agree that Alan is amazing 😊
@@masscarin7516 according to the original video, it was written by Terkoiz, who is a member of the animation team.
5:25 True Father Garcia moment indeed
Lol
5:49I don't know if this was a criticism of religion or a connection between science and religion, like mathematics is something complex and perfect, we could even say divine in the sense that it is extremely Complex, but there is also the theory of intelligent design, the theory that the universe is complex and complete, microscopic probability of it having arisen from nothing.Religion is not just superstition, as many other religions can be, the true religion is the truth. Not even science knows exactly what existed before the Big Bang. There is one God and he is the father of Jesus Christ.
I'd say way better explanation than Ox-Prof @TomRocksMath , Loved it!
its like "e" is their tutor! wow!
So the entire video was just a big math joke all right
I didn't understand a single bit but I enjoyed
im in 7th grade and this still interests me
Me too😁
So basically he is trying to catch -1
the stickman is called the second coming
Too much for my tiny brain to handle
Masterpiece of analyse , fun yet so informative , thanks you for this video.
7:27 when im at 6th grade and dont understand what happened:
Very interesting but could you leave the text on screen a little longer so we can pause in time to read it without needing to go forward or back frame-by-frame?
That's true, I tried pausing the video on the right time to read but it's too difficult, the text appeared for like 0.1 seconds before it dissappeared
This is too complicated
