I was having an awful side-to-side motion coming from my CSL DD when I would use certain modded drift cars but it was the ABS effect that was causing it! Thanks for the video
Did custom shaders patch get rid of the FFB tweaks : macpherson struct and real steering forces to wheel settings or do you need to download them somewhere?
@@hawkeyesdriftgarage9147 Also I treid this for the DD2 but I knew definitley not 100% FFB from the get go. I did 33% and it still swings around like a you turned on a blender. Is there anyway around this?
hey man sorry to bother you did u ever figure out why urs was working in combability mode mine is is doin it now... an if u found a fix could u pls share the knowledge on cause im struggling an just wanna drift lol thats in advance bro
i ran into something strange. i used all your same settings but whenever i try to input 1080 in game value for rotation, my wheel starts to knock when hitting 900 degree lock. the only way for me to get 1080 to work is if i set it to 1080 in fanalab, then 900 in game. no idea why this is an issue because i know ive previously ran 1080 in both game and profiler, and had it working perfectly. any idea what the issue is? otherwise ill have to stick to 900
@@devonsmillie Basically what you said last. Most car mods are developed for 900° steering, so the wheel will lose all FFB once it reaches max rotation. Same thing on my T300. It's just best to always run 900° in the wheel software, and Assetto settings.
@@itranscendencei7964 thank you for confirming! I know it’s not really recommended, but I’ve been running 900 in assetto and 1080 in software, hasn’t felt to bad actually. Just want to practice more on 1080 since that’s the rotation of my drift car
@@devonsmillie I totally understand that. I was running 1080 for about 4 months because I figured more steering = more better. Lol. Assetto really handles it a lot better with 900°. If you like the way 1080 feels and it's a very similar feeling to your IRL car, then by all means. Sim drifting is all about preference.
In your opinion, is the extra 3nm from the "boost kit" worth it when trying to achieve as realistic of a feeling for the wheel as possible? I don't drift IRL yet, but want to soon and would like for my sim setup to simulate that feeling as closely as possible. Been saving up for the Sim Magic Alpha Mini, but $1000 for just the wheel base is a pretty hard pill to swallow. I've read that a regular street car could have anywhere from 4-8nm of FFB torque, which is why I wanted the boost kit. Is that really realistic though?
The thing is you can imitate ffb based off of IRL caster imo. I think depending on real life car setup of my personal steering preference, 5nm is enough. Some may like more, some may like less
My main concern is the speed at which the wheel can start the counter rotation. I'm a fan of soft and snappy suspension, so I find myself having to flick the wheel to get it started quick enough quite a bit. That's with the Gain at 100% across the board, and 100% FFB in-game. I'll watch some more of your wheel cam vids to get an idea of what 5nm looks like when I get at chance later. You run the gain maxed out and FFB ~100, right?
@@hawkeyesdriftgarage9147 Sorry for the dumb question, but where exactly is the setting for speed sensitivity? I've skimmed through your video, but didn't see it anywhere.
idk how people drift in that game it feels absolutely terrible on a fanatec DD CSL i feel like im trying to drift a dump truck or school bus even with FFB at 70-80 when its supposed to be like a 2k-3k lb car.
Just grabbed one of these while I'm building my S197. Glad to get a setup from someone that can drift a real car haha.

whats ABS effect? don't see that
Woow, this works very well for me. TY. Now its much more fun.
Thank you so much dude, i couldnt find any other video thats good ❤
Thanks, man, helpful information for weaned my CSL Elite dies... I will get that one.
Thank you so much this feels way better !
hi. thx fr the video. can you share how did you make the deep dish wheel?
Someone may have asked this but do you change any of the advanced settings in the fanatec app?
why do you have FFB scaling at Peak instead of Linear? Can you please explain both options? Thank you.
Peak is 8nm linear only 6nm
8:00 how did you get this to pop up in game? Cheers for this video by the way. Got it feeling better than what was default.
move your mouse all the way to the right side of the screen
Have you used the wdt cars? And if so what is your in game ffb for those cars?
Thank you so much
What’s the purpose of a triple monitor setup if you are using VR?
I switch between the two setups
Could you please share your DPR (damper) settings on Fanatec control panel?
I don't have my csl dd connected right now but I believe I had it at 0

Maybe they removed them because I've been noticing some difference in steering recently

@@GodSSpeedBrendonRaymon I'd say go even lower. try between 20 25.
How do you get the speed on the steering wheel to come out in assetto corsa. with fanalad or fanaled.
try messing with CM wheel speed sensitivity
do you play ac in compatability mode? i just got my csl dd and it only works in that mode/ making the game think its a csl elite

if i have the 8nm version should i keep ffb strength to 100?
Yes, only lower in car in game.

No idea what would cause that. Sounds a software issue of some sort.
actually, i think i figured out my issue. pretty sure 1080 value in game only works with cars equipped with 1080 steering.

it's a dnd 350mm Deep dish

did you mean to set int at 2 and friction a 11? friction at 2 is almost no difference really...
