The "best" camera greatly depends on what you can afford. I was a Nikon fan for many years but they dont seem to know/care about their core user market. I recently upgraded to a Panasonic Lumix G7. No plans to change at this point.
Finally, someone using the same camera I am using (the Sony FDR AX-53)..
200d if only I could afford it😂😂🔥👍
The best camera in 2019 (or any year) is the one you can afford and that suits your needs.
For me it’s Sony a6400 cause it shoots 120fps at full HD, which is exactly what I need for B-Rolls in my IG vlogs.
The best camera is the one you have that works.
Even if it is just your smart phone.
I pray who ever is reading this comment to be successful in UA-cam.
You don’t have to pray. It’s all about effort.
@@SEWYUTD well it’s not ALL about effort. There are other factors involved too such as recommendation algorithms.
Quit using religion to boost your likes.
Thank You

that´s why no one wants to watch your videos.
@@Anderson_Anderas is that why they all have more subs ?

@@Anderson_Anderas to you and?
This assumes that everyone on UA-cam produces the same type of videos and needs the same type of camera. Only one of the people interviewed acknowledged that the story is more important than the tools.
Exactly. Some people will do a lot of outdoor shots, some will need a powerful zoom. Others will be doing indoor-based content, some will be working on small projects in a workbench sort of setup. Some need to record for a few minutes at a time, others need to run for hours. Requirements will differ accordingly.
@Monster Fueled Every person he asked except one produces the same kinds of videos. You can slant results by who you ask and what questions you ask.
Doesn’t assume anything, it just asks what people use and clearly the sony alpha platform does it all. I mean they all use it for a reason. Its fucking good at everything and if you have the budget then go for it. The a7riii(now the iv) is literally the say all be all for most youtubers. It can sit on a tripod and film 4k60 forever, it can film 120fps slo mo action shots, and it can produce nice crispy 4k vlogs. Its probably the best camera there is before you get into purpose built cinema cameras
all my videos done by my phone which is samsung s8plus its its camera is perfect im planning to buy a camera but when i have enough money all cameras are too expensive
I use DJI Osmo Action and a $10 lavalier mic! Budget friendly 4K setup!
I don't have the best one in the world. It's a little dated by today's standards but I have a Logitech C910 webcamera and I'm using an Audio Technica AT-2020 mic. Not the greatest video for now but it has helped me go ahead and post my first videos here the past week or two!
So Excited for this!! I want to invest into a new camera!!☺️💕💕
I think the best camera is the M50 :)
😎
Heather Torres hey I have a question base on what you said is this M50 is for more moving Vlog ? Please advise me.. I already got my canon 70D but I change the lenses to Canon FS 50mm for sitdown make up.. so far good. Now I want to have for movement camera.. aside from 70D I would like to upgrade
@@ANNEMatias canon m50 is a good option for many day to day use. It is compact and portable so taking with you is no hassle matter.
Better than 70d:
More compact and portable.
Better autofocus.
4k at 24fps (no dual pixel auto focus and crops in much).
Can use mirrorless lens as well as DSLR lens (needs an adapter).
Has beginner mode.
Really recommended for $600
I'm thinking about the m50 when I upgrade!
I'm trying to buy the m50 now but they are sold out everywhere.
We use the Canon M50. Why? Because you told us it was good! And you're right! Love your channel! You have really helped us step up our game! Keep up the great work, we always look forward to your new videos! 💕💕
Darby Girls hello
I didn't know that about shooting in 4K to get your videos ranked.

For short video's less than 30 minutes long there is a lot of great recommendations. But what about if you are doing long-form video's that are 60 minutes or longer. What are your camera recommendations for shooting that type of video?
Just buy a camcorder then. They are cheaper and don't overheat and shut off after 30 minutes like DLSR's do.
Demolition Dude thanks do you have one you would recommend?
I use the Sony ax53 and Nikon d7500 and always have the go pro pro hero 7 black with me at all times. I also got the mavic pro for drone shots.
Just need to get out more and make more videos as been a bit lazy lately. Good vid 👍🍻

Maybe you can make a video about UA-camrs who are using cheap handphone but able to make great videos.
Panasonic G7. A great way to get into shooting high quality video. It's under 500 dollars, shoots 4K and it has all the knobs and buttons. Great for someone like me who doesn't want to spend 3,000 dollars on a camera and doesn't even know how to properly operate everything yet.
The best camera is our handphone camera: Light weight, portable, not attract attention and easy to use. Videography /editing skill and the content of the video is much more important than how clear/sharp/depth of field of the images.
My current setup with with a Cannon m50 that I through crowdfunding for my Birthday!!
I do a lot of Dog in Bars videos. I can't use a giant camera. I use the smallest I Phone. I might get a Sony A6000. I found an old Sony NEX C3 at a pawn shop for $150 with 3 batteries included. Might go with that.
I love the simplicity of using my iPhone with a moment lens at the moment. :)
I really wish that I could afford the equipment. At least a decent camera. I take care of my Daughter on my own and struggle, so it makes it hard for me to get started. But I guess slow and steady, right? The Sony a7iii will be what I save for. I respect your recommendations.
Hi Sean I’ve been following your channel for about 1 year. Your videos have helped me tremendously! I have recently been discouraged, because I haven’t got the results for my course. Could you offer some advice? Thanks again!
The best camera for UA-cam content creation is the one that fits YOUR budget! Let's face it: No one is starting out on YT and getting monetized right away, unless your name is "Will Smith". Creating for UA-cam is a process done for the love of creating. For 95% of everyone, there is no money earned....ever. It makes no sense investing three, or four thousand dollars in cameras, audio gear, and computers to edit with, when starting out. The camera on your phone combined with a good video editing app can have you posting content for under $30 bucks. After 4 years and over 10,000 subs... I still use my GoPro Hero 3+ and Rode VideoMic Pro. Your content quality is more important than gear quality. Stop stressing over the gear and be focused on delivering something real to say to your viewers!
Your channel is so useful 😩
Canon G7X is also a pretty good starting camera.

I use my Canon Rebel t6 but it doesn’t have a microphone jack so I hook my $14 lapel microphone to my iPhone 6 Plus and sync the audio inPremiere.

I came here for advice as a new creator...
That was a mistake.
I recommend a Canon M50. It's relatively inexpensive and works fine for youtube. Good luck.
And if that doesn't work just use your phone. Don't wait until you have money for a camera, just shoot something and post it. Perfection is the enemy of good. Go for it!
I shoot most of my vlogs on my phone. If you have a good phone camera just start. Upgrade when you can!

I use my phone and it looks just fine! Thinking of getting the G7x mark 2 though
I’ve used my phone (iPhone X) so far and it looks good. I’ve noticed also, as can be seen from my first video up to my latest one, is that the lighting and editing can make A WORLD of difference in how your footage ultimately looks in the end. Great idea for a video.. We would love to see 5 more just like this. Home studio setups, editing software, staff size (or first employe job duty), or maybe storage setups.
It's not about the equipment... start with good content and good presentations and the gear will come when you get the views... that said, most camera tech within the last 5 years is good enough for youtube... nobody will care or see any difference.

• HD 1080p @60fps
• 4k @24fps
• Not too big
• Easy for Vlog
• Get Auto Focus
• Looked Compact
• A bit Similar to a DSLR

Sean, thanks u a lot, man 😁 u can share me through out the world even I’m at Cambodia 🇰🇭 and you’re in the US 🇺🇸. Anw, could u make a video that describes about “ How to Vlog Better” ? ☺️Thanks You before
Hmm, thanks for the comment!, how about g7x mark ii or sl2? Just for tutorial videos, some vlogs, some cinematics on lower end budget around there? oh i guess photos for thumbnails
I don't disagree with why so many "professional" content creators prefer to use big and heavy setups for the sake of technical quality. But when it comes to vlogging, size and form factor inevitably kicks in. I was on a trip to Disneyland in 2018 with my family and chose to bring along the Panasonic GH5, and within a half day, I was worn out and tired from handling it, and this was not even a much heavier full-frame camera setup. The rest of the day, I relegated to the much smaller and lighter Yi Lite mounted on a gimbal (I wanted the date/time stamp to log my recordings). When you are filming run-and-gun at a location like Disneyland with family and capturing content as they occur while still trying to enjoy the park attractions themselves, having a big and heavy setup will lead to more missed shot opportunities than a small and light setup, which all the more supports the saying, "the best camera is the one you have with you". Just saying.
Kind of different examples you got there. UA-camrs are trying to work, you were trying to have fun.
...and the guy with the camcorder has SIX MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!! Proof that you can chase pixels and "that buttery soft background" all you want, but CONTENT beats everything else every time.
What was the XLR adapter Justine used for her Sennheiser AVX wireless mic setup?
Cries in $150 budget lol

M50 or 200D...same Sensor, as the 80D, but cheaper...the M50 also could record 4k (but with crop) ... i'm using the M50 and love the quality and easyness, to get good results! And you only have to pay around 650€ in Germany for Body and 15-45mm kitlens...i think, in US it's nearly the same pricing.
Let's all start , work and grow together. Wishing you all a great, happy and successful year ahead!
My setup only cost $275 and I'm using a camcorder. With that I got 2 aftermarket lenses (wide-angle and fisheye) a Takstar shotgun mic and a pistol grip stabilizing pod. In my personal opinion only idiots would use a DLSR camera for UA-cam videos. They are way too expensive and can only record for 30 minutes at a time before they overheat and shut off.

Sony a6400
it has the image processor of the a9 but for about 1/5 of the price. It also has a flip up screen for vlogging. and it is new.
Gideon Holst YESSS SONYA6400
as much as I love my A7iii, I did try the M50. Great little camera for beginners, but I sold it after a month of tests. The lack of usable 4k video, no real IBIS, the poor slow motion, and more importantly the lack of fast native glass made me decide to stick with what I have. Even mores, the M mount stands alone, so if one wants to move to the EOS R in the future, all the M lenses are not going to work.
Then the A6400 came out. While being more expensive, IMHO it's a better camera for UA-cam and vlogging than the M50.
“The flippy screen” lol. Per your recommendation, I’m using the Canon M50! As a beginner, I’m liking it so far!
My only complaint is that I can’t use wifi or bluetooth capabilities when shooting with my rode videomic go or else the audio footage gets a lot of static and is unusable. -Akeiva
Vilma Betancourt I called Rode and they said that the material used in the Rode Videomic Go, specifically, interferes with the wifi and bluetooth and causes static. So, I’m not sure which other mics use that material and if it’s the same for other cameras that have wifi/bluetooth functionality.
