There is this story about a similar hand called the Duke of Cumberland, where a grand slam was bid, redoubled, wagered with a bet of 20,000 quid and made on 7 HCP.
Thanks for sharing this interesting video. The whole game is of unique distribution. If that is the case why 7, hypothetically you can make 7 spade with only 5 points with favourable distribution. Isn't it 😀
Thank you Jeff an Bajir. Happy to get to see this played out
Bajir is very good at asking the right questions.
Thank you Jeff... Amazing hand! How exciting!!
Thanks Jeff for sharing this good lesson on thinking beyond HCP.
Thank you both. A great lesson in valuing my hand and in thinking about the opponent’s hands.
Wonderful and exciting
Thank you Jeff. Great lesson. Have to be in memory bank for next 5 years.😉
Thank you so much for discussing this interesting hand!!

Thank you - amazing!
I thought you were going to play James Bond’s hand. That was incredible also
That is just wild! :-)

Love cross ruffing but grand slam is something else
Will probably not happen in most people's lifetime. Quirk of the game and the possibility of trillions of card combination that can be randomly dealt.
No, not never noway would I have bid that. Because I am not very good to be honest!
