For many years I waited for my perfect opportunity to ride this epic novelty wave machine & it just so happened that Captain Cody was thinking the exact same thing. Hey, great song! Thanks for bringing back unbridled stoke. I started surfing in Half Moon Bay Ca. in the mid 70's, before pro surfing and the whole giant industry thing. I remember a time when people just went in the water and played around on whatever they had and we were all just having fun. Air mats, plywood paipo boards, hand planes, knee boards, pool toys. No one snaked anyone. we could all see who was in the spot and we hooted for them and things were good. Your stoke reminds me of that time and I appreciate it.

I lived 6 years in Florida as a kid and teen. We had some epic days at Destin and NCO beach. Conditions had to be perfect. It does happen. Being Hawaiian I'm spoiled with perfection. However Florida will forever hold a special place in my heart

Ben, you didn’t wait long enough. Wait til hurricane season or the next big front that comes through with a slightly east south east swell. Then go to the other side of the pass and surf next to the jetty! Amazons is what some ppl call it. I’ve caught waves that will break the whole length of the jetty well overhead. Maybe one day you will be able to get it. Best wave I’ve ever surfed in the whole state of Florida.

It is a free country I understand ! People say they were born one way or another & its ok. If They said the were born a baby rapist would thwt bw ok? Not in my opinion It would be best to keep info like that to yourself ! Somethings are best kept brhind closed locked doors not in public on a beach or? . Amazing Ben. I told you a while back that you have a natural talent with music. Did you create those lyrics? Either way that was a amazing performance on the guitar and vocals. Wow great job. This is so awesome to watch. I was born and raised in Panama City beach, grew up hanging out and surfing with the Gorman brothers. Worked my first beach service job with Jacob Gorman out at Caroline Beach on the west end of pub, and was in the same grade with Justin Gorman. Just great people,. I remember watching Jared Gorman surf when i was just grom and just being blown away by how sick he was. I watched the sea screamer run my entire life man. So great to see Ben showing up in my home town, wish i would have known about it in advance! Great content brother, keep it coming

Lived in Pensacola 5 years back in the 70’s. There is pretty much no surf in summer unless a storm is brewing. There are those days though when the surf is amazing. Grew up in SoCal surfing north of Santa Barbara to south Baja. Surfing the gulf coast was a different experience. Most of the time if there was decent waves there was a storm just offshore. Surfed twice with a hurricane just offshore jumping off the old Pensacola pier. One day though, 3 of us went out with no one else there (our secret spot) and it was 6-8 foot with an offshore wind. Perfect waves.

Ben, you have to acknowledge that this video sets a paradigm for a beach hunt has been and boats capable to create shorebrakes! I had quite similar experience with a ferry line boat crossing, creating a set of 4 waves. But this video provides immence potential! Thank you!

We used to do that here in New Smyrna Beach Florida in the river close to the inlet. There was a beach along the river and we would give the big boats a thumbs up when we saw them coming. Most of them would speed up and pump us a wave.

This is in my hometown. We call it deep eater point, it sits at the mouth of a lagoon that opens up to a very deep pass. I grew up surfing that park and would go to that side when it was too blown out. On a good hurricane swell you can catch some good rights breaking off the edge of that jetty.
