@@CalvinAwesome sure, Reading kits is the boring bit, but it's also where the magic happens. One of my guildies went up against a monster QGJ GAR (Galactic Republic) jedi team last GAC, or it would have been if QGJ had been in the lead. As it was, easy win

QGJ - One semi-mistake I've seen fairly often with oQGJ teams is putting Jolee and/or JKR on them. Not only does it turn off multiple "all GR" synergies as mentioned in the video, you're also gimping a large part of their kits. Since QGJ's omicron prevents him from reviving, both JKR's Savior and Jolee's mass revive lose a lot of their functionality. (Jolee can occasionally pull off a surprise revive of JKA to turn the tide but more often than not the attacking player can play around this and you're still losing way more than you're gaining) SK Absolute weirdest comp I came across recently was OB/MJ/SK (fine so far) with Mon Mothma and Hondo (wtf?). All I could do was scratch my head then say "thanks for turning off your omicron". Wampa - I'm pretty sure it's only the specific sentence with the "no allies" statement that gets turned off when other toons are included with Wampa. So you lose most of the various stat boosts but still get: the +100% Tenacity, as well the various effects on being damaged (unresistable DoTs, cooldown reduction and stacking Tenacity) Still not something I'd recommend doing in general (*though see below), but at least not a complete waste/turning off of the omicron. And I can see certain cases where it might be appropriate as part of some weird defense comp (assuming you scout your opponent and find they typically set a non-Wampa-able defense so you're not really losing that strong offensive tool). *One thing I've experienced a few times is not taking some of these "mistake" teams quite seriously enough, stretching a weaker counter too far and only killing part of the team, then suddenly facing something way stronger than expected for cleanup. For example, one time there was an oWampa placed with a DR squad. I took in fairly weak Troopers and was able to mostly kill off the team but wasn't able to seal the deal and finish Wampa. And suddenly there was a super hard toon to handle that I got stuck on. Another time there was a typical broken o Iden team with Dark Trooper. I forget what I used but had to focus on Dark fairly early due to the damage threat, ended up failing with only a partial win then suddenly there was half an oIden team preloaded with the omi turned back on. It's probably a very rare corner case that won't happen much, but still something to keep in mind when facing these teams.
Funny thing about Wampa, seen a full sith team with Wampa(with omi) in it . Somehow I killed everyone ,but Wampa . After 1st try Wampa omi came in use and couldn't kill her at all :D
I have malgus and malak relic 5 and I didn't even bother to read their kits! now I know I have to find another home for my relic 5 HK-47, thanks brother!
My favourite is when I am putting together an empire team for offence and I click the toons too fast and put TIE defender in first instead of TIE bomber because it's higher GP and then I enter battle and go "oh shit where is my bomber oh shit what is my defender doing there" and then I get dismantled by the opposing fleet
About Old Ben, I don’t disagree at all but wanted to note that in his kit, he receives 5% TM when another Jedi receives damage. Have to factor in for some counters. I didn’t once when I used an empire team and Old Ben managed to get ability blocks screwing up my counter.
We kind of have that now it just might need some adjustments. There's a green/red circle when you're putting the squad together. It's just not smart enough to pick up some of pigeon holing the kits have nowadays
Excellent video! It's hard to keep up with every kit reveal post/video. Great video idea for casual players! -- I don't have Maglus yet so also good to note that DRevan needs all Sith Empire,
@@CalvinAwesome I must have made someone feel they needed to prove you right because my opponent yesterday in K2 had HK variant and DT w/ Iden. That's how you lose to someone with 3mil fewer GP folks!
About the Rey team: malak doesnt ruin the revive thing, bc it is in the omicron section. However, judging by the way his force dyad skill is worded, i'm inclined to say that the only thing that gets ruined here is oneshot immunity, bc the "rey cant be defeated & ben cant be defeated" thing comes only in the next sentence. I might be wrong, but i get the impression that if not meeting the condition ruined this part, it would have been put into the first sentence too, or there would be words like "also" . and tbh if this is the case i think malak in the rey team is kinda justifiable because other ben's things are cool of course but he is mostly just used for his revive cheese
It stops the juggling of Rey and Ben's health where you can't kill Ben until Ray is half, and can't kill Rey when Ben is alive. That part is also invalidated
I believe you're incorrect about mon mothma. You didn't read the kit properly. It says if she is in the leader slot, that's the only requirement, then, she and all rebel fighter allies do the combined Stat share. You can have 1 rebel fighter ally and 3 rebel and it will still share its just a considerably smaller Stat pool. I do this all the time. I have the world's 1st relic 9 Biggs and no I'm not joking. It was for my fleet when home one was wiping executor for me before profundity was even a thing. His power goes through the roof when I have a full rebel fighter team.
I faced a broken iden team with a tie pilot. But my wampa did lose since the tie pilot has a tenacity down on basic, and he got stunned and beat from there. Makes me think tie pilot should have the imperial trooper tag.
I suppose for defense, but I actually really love Nute under GG. His unique that deals max health damage from a debuff means that GG leads generates 2x the amount of TM. That makes GG counter CLS, BB8 won't do that.
I'm one of the guys who put Dark Troopers and Gideon with my Iden. I'm only level 74, but thanks for bringing that to my attention. Obviously, I still have a shit ton to learn, but that's great to know. I always thought the wording was weird for her unique description, but you described it simply and easily to the point I feel dumb for overthinking it.
Iden only loses the bonus turn and revive if you put in tfp. And you gain tenacity down. If you set iden and have executor then definitely put tfp on the team.
@@CalvinAwesome personally I feel he fits with EP/MJ best, the leadership gives extra health, EP has shock on basic, MJ has it on a special, when he inflicts a debuff he recovers health, so he gains health when being critted because he applies fear
@@CalvinAwesome Revan even negates Malak's kit because the Tenacity and Defense down on ferocity and because some reason he attacks feared opponents twice when you want them to be feared
