The malevolence can beat every other fleet in the game only issue is you need ships from other fleets to do so I beat executor and profundity with malevolence for fleet arena but in gac its taking alot of stuff from other places and leaves you open to your other fleets not being as good
In general, this mode drives me nuts. The star ships and starfighters are some of my favorite things about Star Wars, but this mode gets me so damn mad and frustrated. In arena I can't break the top 120 ranks, and the length it takes to gear up ships feels like such a chore, especially the Ghost + Phantom, with the entire Phoenix squad split between the 2 ships. Thanks for the video though. Kind of gives me an idea how to focus on ships to group up.
My Thrawn fleet gets a surprising number of holds: Vader, EP, TIE Bomber starting, TIE-IN and Defender reinforcements. No other reinforcements or the AI will mess it up. That makes my Tarkin fleet: Sith Bomber, Malgus, Scythe, and whatever Empire or Sith are left over for reinforcements. That's not great, but I used it to beat a Malevolence today. And of course, when I get the Leviathan… (note: I will not be getting Leviathan immediately. I just don't have the relic levels).
What do you think is the best negotiator defensive setup? I usually go with snips, jka, ywing or rex, jka, ywing. Snips helps when they use malevolence but I find the rex comp more durable. I avoid setting fives in starting lineup on D dye to his AI's performance against malevolence but on offense I will start him
I use Rex over Fives in the starting lineup because of the old Malevolence and Negotiator meta. When I fought Negotiator with my Malevolence, if Fives was starting it was basically an auto win for me, because Fives would always target Vulture and give him turn meter (because Fives’ kit works that way for some reason) so Vulture would go next allowing me to get a good buff immunity on Anakin, then I could blitz him down and avoid the stealth from the saviour buff. Plus Rex in the start is more durable overall, I just hate that Fives gives the enemy turn meter
Wow! Could not agree more - Negotiator on D will never NOT give me the heebee jeebees. I lost a GAC recently because I dropped a fleet battle to Negotiator, and it just reinforced what my heart knows - Negotiator will continue to randomly hand me my ass on a platter until the end of my days.
How important is the Ebon Hawk in the first order Finalizer fleet? Can the fleet hold its own even without this ship or is it essential for something? Also do you think the Home1 Rebel Fleet shown on the upper side of the list would be able to handle Hounds Tooth? Since you put the Rebel-Y-Wing so late wouldnt that make it super hard. Im having a lot of trouble even with weaker Hounds-Tooth fleets and im wondering if i put Y-Wing 4t if that would solve the problem.
Not super essential, it's to keep Executor from hitting contract mid battle. If RNG is in your favor with crits/bonus attacks you can kind of bulldoze without needing it. You can also lose with it because RNG goes too poorly. Ackbar beating HT? possibly, wedge has buff immunity
