- Nothing's worse than absolutely killing at one show than doing the same set again with another audience that doesn't show you the same love. That's when a perfectly good set can go all to hell.

I love it when comedians learn and improve. It's why I do this.
I actually learned that recently (although part of me always knew it intrinsically). I was doing a show to a rambunctious crowd which had a weird disjointed busy energy… and I just let their moments happen and responded where I could and then tried to transition back into my material. It was like reeling in a fish. It was pretty successful, but certainly not the great feeling you get from a fully attentive, switched on audience!

Way to stick with it. Yes, it's probably something you knew intrinsically but you also have a lot of experience behind you. When you start out you don't always have that presence of mind on stage to think things through. There's a lot of trial and error to it but if you understand what's happening you might be disappointed but never discouraged. Good stuff.

SOOOoooo glad to have you back Jimmy, the comedy community here NEEDS you, and your knowledge. At some point, I'm gonna put something out there, with all the little "tidbits" I've learned from years of trial and error (more error than not haha!) Your videos help so many people, but if it even helps 1 person 1%, you're putting good out into the world, which is what we should always do. Stay funny ;)
