For me, it was love at first sight upon it's debut! But I learned my lesson in buying first year models, so I decided to wait. Glad I did. I've joined several Genesis GV70 forums/groups and along with the joy of owning this beauty, there are also a lot of complaints. Getting tired of waiting so I hope they get it together with the 2024!
I have a Canadian Gv70 2.5T Prestige...which means it comes with 19" wheels and yes, the ride is much softer! We also don't get the fully digital dash, but we do get the HUD, which I prefer anyway! It's interesting that they changed to matte black buttons on the steering wheel away from capacitive touch buttons for 2023...which works better for gloves. Loving it so far!
So the Lexus RX 500 came out today the reviews and I’ma still take the genesis GV 70 it looks better the interior is better it’s faster is simply the best car For its price tag like a mini Bentley
You mentioned "auto steer" - I assume you were checking to see if it would change lanes when you're signaling on the highway? That feature is called Highway Driving Assist II. None of the 2023 models of GV70 - or GV80 - had that feature due to shortages in computer chips. It would be available in the GV70 if they had chips available. It does have the Lane Assist feature for staying in your lane around curves, etc though.
I believe on the 2023 GV 70 2.5 in the US you can get the waffle cone 21 in rims on the sport Prestige package I don't think it was available in the 2022
Nice review. I got an early GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige last November (Uyuni white over red/charcoal), love it. The base 2.5 will certainly be the volume seller but I wanted the HUD, 21" wheels, bigger engine, ELSD and interior upgrades. Either way, in Sport Prestige trim the GV70 matches the Germans base and sport models, spec for spec, for less money and with a longer warranty. Genesis to me makes the Germans overpriced.
@@the_alpha1111 If you behave you can get 19/25 mpg, after a long break-in (1000 miles). But, get the 2.5 if you want mileage, the 3.5 is pointless unless you want brisk performance, the horsepower is wasted otherwise, it will do 0-60 in 4.8.
@@rmyAddison The 2.5t combined gets 22 mpg a bit better but doesn’t have a HUD which I really want, but I think I might go for the 2.5t just for better gas.
@@the_alpha1111 To me the 3.5 Sport Prestige is worth it, aside from the HUD which I wanted also you have the 3.5tt engine, electronic LSD, 3D cluster, 3 zone climate with heated rear seats, upgraded interior and other features you can't get even in the loaded 2.5 Sport Prestige trim. With the EV gv70 coming out next Spring it might be a good time to get an ICE GV70 without paying the markups most dealers were charging.
I own a gv70 2023 for one month now. They say 28 highway and 22 city. I am getting 22.5. It’s hard to drive it in a manner to get 28 but I think in eco and on highway it might. It’s too fun and too fast. Plan on 22-24 best average.
@@ededh7296 I have the same one as well, now the one thing I don’t really like is the light bulbs are not too bright at night, I might replace them. Do you have any recommendations on which LED’s would be really bright at night.
The GV70 has a Select, Advanced, Prestige, Sport and Sport Prestige model - no "lux". In North America, anyway...in Canada, it's Advanced, Advanced Plus, Sport Prestige, Sport Advanced and Sport Plus
Yes there is, I personally didn't like the lane assistance feature myself and turned it off. I absolutely hate when the steering wheel starts to drive itself when im on a curve or something. Sometimes I like to hug the white line as im turning or im avoiding things like rocks and the steering wheel will try to correct you in the lane if not turned off.
Same for me, I dont want assistance with lanes or looking up. You can cut that feature off. I love that you can cut off many of the Driver conveniences. Customize it to your level of driving.
2023 Genesis GV70 POV looks good inside & out ... Slainte' ! Cheers !

Very welcome :)

I saw the Lexus today too. Looks like the new civic from the front 😂. Genesis is all the way 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
100% would pick the gv70 every time!
@@Iegend17 I am Vietnamese. There are many of us like Lexus, but not me. The moment I saw Genesis 2023, I was in love. I am a happy G70 owner.
Would you choose this over BMW x3 30i 4 cylinder?

I believe the 23 gv80 had it when I tested it but I will check

I have the 22 2.5T and it has the waffle cone rims
I drove the 4 cylinder model.. it had those rims
What are the measurements for the cargo area. How many inches behind the second row and the first row to the rear? Also how wide is the opening
No sure about the exact numbers. You can check that on genesis website
genesis is very nice car... I would take genese over lexus and Hyundai have come a long way..
Same
Am a Lexus enthusiast am seriously impressed and this car will be on my radar, just not sure whether this spec is available in the UK.

True!
What average mpg are you getting in your 3.5T?

Did the 2022 model of the gv70 only have standard, sport, lux and sport lux? Did they rebrand for 2023? What's the equivalent of "lux" now?

Would you guys pick a fully decked out 2.5t or a middle package 3.5t??
3.5t
Why exactly? @legend
Its a nice car but you get way more room in a chevy equinox or acura rdx
Does this trim of 2.5T has the 3D cluster?
In the US, yes
Good 🥰🥰
Pretty sure u r confused. This is a 3.5. Can tell because the rear view turn signal is on left and right on dash. In 2.5 on 1 side only
Love people like you😂😂 first of all I showed the MSRP sticker and I saw the engine. Definitely 4 cylinder but good luck 😆
Ur the one who's confused. I have the 2.5 and it's supposed to be on the left and right.
@@timbatee7433 This is the US spec not canada
It will say 3.5 on the right side rear if it’s a 3.5
@@benc4181 thank you
That’s not the 4 cylinder.
Are you sure? I don’t see the 3.5t in back, can you please tell me. Clearly I didn’t read the MSRP sticker
The one thing I don't like are the excessive warning signals.. I'm sure there's a way to make it way less sensitive or to just turn it off completely.
