My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw this. Now I need to collect this along with the other Force Five figures. Thank you for sharing and a great presentation of Gaiking and Space Dragon, what a beauty.
Ya, it really is spectacular as a display piece. Acquiring the older SOC figures to complete the Force Five group has been an expensive journey. Thanks for watching!!!!
Force Five came out AFTER Mattel had discontinued the Shogun Warrior line in the USA. When the toy line came out, around 1976, few kids knew the background, or what they were. Then later when Force Five was on TV 1980-81 with DANGUARD ACE , GETA Robo G, Grendizer & Giaking, the Shogun toys were long gone, stopped production around 1979-80 just before the TV series hit big. Now the demand was high for the toys & used prices skyrocketed. Collectors who were skilled, & saved the toy & the box, saw prices Jump into $$100 range, after just buying a few years earlier at bargain clearance prices of $ 10 or less. After that most toys were released WITH the Tv show or movie, not years after. Of course as a kid I blew up all my shoguns and kicked myself later when prices soared, pissed at my nerdy friends who never played with them hard & saved the boxes & accessories. I eventually bought then back decades later for $100s dollars more. Make sure if u do get them, get the 1st Generation release with the real missiles that launch and have flexible joints, for Mazinger, Poseidon, Star Arrow, Dragun. The 1st Gen of these 5 inch diecast versions all came with Green styrofoam inside the box & Mazinger was not called Great Mazinger until the 2nd Generation. For the larger Plastic 1st Gen Great Mazinger this had a large plastic V for chest of fire, the later version had a red sticker in a V shape, as they later used this chest piece with the Grendizer toy to save money. This Grendizer toy was not released in the States, only Japan & Europe, hence the price is even more on the used market. The later released Giaking, Dangaurd Diamos only had one version in Die-cast or Jumbo plastic, as did Raydeen which came out earlier with Mazinger, Geta Robo, Godzilla and Rodan. Rodan may be the most valuable given its rarity.
GREAT INFO!!! I didn't mean to imply the Shogun Warrior line came out after Force Five, I was speaking more about Transformers, Go Bots , Robotech, etc.. My brother and I were never able to get any of those toys, so we would have to play with ones owned by friends, and secretly be jealous. Over the years, I'm always sorely tempted by those older pieces, just to finally scratch that itch. Maybe one day I still will. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching!!!
Loved watching Force Five and then Star Blazers right after. I have Danguard Ace with all the accessories. Grendizer and Gaiking were my favorite though. Was wondering if the opening and closing theme that plays on Gaking's leg is the English version from the 80's series shown in America or the Japanese version?
Thanks for the video and subbed. I haven't taken mine out of the box yet as I have no place to display it as of yet. Next big robot to arrive is Blitzways Voltron. Did you by chance pre-order that one?
Excited for you, I'm curious to see how the Blitzway Voltron turned out. I didn't order it as I don't have the space, and still quite happy with the classic aesthetics of the SOC Voltron. I still have the vehicle Voltron in box which I got to find space for. Thanks for watching and for the sub!!!
Hi Jorge, the black circle where the leg attaches to the body is also a quick release button. You just need to rotate the leg until the button presses in easily, and the leg comes off

Agree with the extra pieces should being included for that price
Definitely. Thanks for watching!
Big thumbs up for the last shot with all the Force Five robots together. Beautiful.
Thanks!!! They are relatively small in size, but so beautiful together. Thanks for watching!
@@raysway1897 The Voltron on the end was a nice touch. Ultimate childhood cartoon diorama.
I finally got mine and love it!
Congrats! It's a fantastic piece, thanks for watching!

Funny…. That Tv Commercial with the kids, used the “Eight is Enough House” as the backdrop…. Both filmed at about the same time.
Wow, I didn't even notice that! Great trivia!! Thanks for watching!

Gracias por ver!!

@@markgentile730 interesting... Not sure about the themes. Thanks for watching!
Excelente reseña; estoy a la espera del mío que llega en marzo. Saludos desde República Dominicana.
Gracias por ver!!!
Holy Grail !
For sure! Thanks for watching!
I’m guessing there was no way to implement making the dragon head into Gaiking’s actual torso.
Not really, they are completely different shapes. Cartoon morphing magic! Thanks for watching!
El Gladiador, El vengador, Galáctico, super Magnetron. There were only 4 in the Spanish version
Interesting! I have the Starzinger/Spaceketeer items on order. Thanks for watching!
It’s definitely a must have chogokin although it was a bummer to know that other parts are gonna be sold separately.
Ya, agreed! Thanks for watching!
Waiting for mine... sadly, us release by bluefin, p4obably around march april...
Think of it as something to anticipate and look forward to! Also gives you time to make space... it's a beast! Thanks for watching!
