HELLO EVERYONE!! TODAY I'M SHARING MY MADE FROM SCRATCH GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE. THIS IS A BIRTHDAY DESSERT, I ALWAYS SHARE A NEW DESSERT EVERY YEAR. HOPE Y'ALL TRY THIS SIMPLE RECIPE. LOVE Y'ALL!!
German Chocolate Cake Recipe
Cake:
2 Cups All Purpose Flour or Cake Flour
2 Cups Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 Cup Whole Milk or Evaporated Milk
3/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Vegetable or Canola Oil
1 tsp. Salt
1 Cup Hot Water
Bake for 25-30 mins.
Let cake completely before frosting.
Coconut Pecan Frosting
1 cup Evaporated Milk
1 cup Sugar
3 Large Egg Yolks
1 stick of Unsalted Butter
1 1/3 cups Shreddred Coconut
1 cup chopped Pecans
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
Add butter to your saucepan and then add your sugar, milk and egg yolks and mix together and whisk for 10-12 mins. Remove saucepan from heat. Add Coconut, Pecans and the your Vanilla Extract. Mix all ingredients well. Set aside to completely cool down and spread on your completely cooled cake. Enjoy!

Thank you for posting this. My birthday is this coming Saturday (I'm in my mid 50's) and this brought back so many good memories. My grandmother would make this for me on my birthday and I can remember watching her and just being with her. She passed away in the 80's but watching this brought me to tears because of the memories I forgot. Again thank you so much for this video and the memories you brought back to me :) I'm going to have to make it for myself this coming weekend.

How I miss the early 80s, every Christmas for years my aunt would cook this cake and it was one of my favorites, you can't pay here now to make one.😀 Good job
HALLE-LUJA! Finally someone knows how to make a cake the RIGHT WAY! I don't care if it comes from a Box or is made from scratch like this Almost Everyone you see on UA-cam over mixes their Cake batter. It causes your cake To collapse within minutes of taking it out of the oven and causes the interior of the cake to be Really dense like biting into a sponge period of course Ms. Brenda Lee Would know how to do it the right way but if there's any doubt I totally volunteer to work as her personal taste tester. Probably the easiest german chocolate cake recipe I've seen. The other ones I do require a few different steps and techniques, as well other ingredients. This is a quick and easy version especially if you're trying to save time, and money on buying extra ingredients. Might have to try this one some time, good looking cake!
