Countach electrical tip.
Add a multi mega fuse block to the engine compartment . Run the alternator output to that. Then the rest of the wire forward. Rewire the power to the relays power source to the mega fuse block. Radiator fan relay, fuel pump relays. , ignition system supply. And add an additional relay as a load reduction relay for the A/C clutch coil. This will reduce the voltage draw from the alternator to the fuse box and main relays back to the back of the car that the evaporator fan sees a higher voltage and now puts out enough air to cool the cockpit. Adjustable voltage regulators are available for the bosch alternators also. So you can set the alternator output at 14.6 or 14.8 at the alternator.
Radio. Install a rubber whip universal car antenna with zip ties to the cross frames in the dashboard. So much better radio reception.
Lastly. Pull the glove box and the face panel above it to see the harness coming out of the top of the fuse box. Where the harness comes up from the fuse box and bends forward it lays on the C channel. That is the likely cause of the electrical fires.

I had a white Countach poster as a kid. My buddies dad had a Testarossa and couldn't understand why his son and I liked the Countach better
I’m English and went to Goodwood race track in the mid 90s and met a guy that had a black car, he at the time only paid 50k for the car, it’s nuts how they have grown in price.
For me the best spec is... Euro LP5000 QV, black exterior, red interior, gold wheels, no wing.
That was my Countach poster.

@@davidmopar8446 yeah I agree. Nothing better than American Muscle. I'm 53 and when I was 18 I had a 72 SS Chevelle, it was a 454 car but whoever had it before me pulled the big block and dropped a 327 in it. It would still run. I'd love to have that car back.
@@itsmemckee2110 Ferrari don't make brand new 458's anymore lol, get the info right first. But yeah they can be a bit finicky but Lambos are much more reliable in comparison!

That's the point. It was made to get people talking. I like it but I can see how the wild design is polarizing. Look up the early ones before the 80s fender flares and wing were added to see what it was originally intended to look like. The wedge was a popular concept car design but Lamborghini actually made it happen.

Some of these stories are so dumb, you could literally have this dramatic sit down over someone who drove over a cigarette butt in Kanye's Lamborghini.
It's not so much the engine.. Just most things attached to it. I'd still own one if i could. Had "the poster" on my wall too.
🤔🤔🤔 I have always wondered why Countaches in particular get such a bad rap from people who simply expect the car to run smoothly after being garaged for several years or an extended period of time. There's a man near me in British Columbia, Canada with a Red on black countach LP5000 QV, he drives it to almost every C&C, father's day classic Italian car show & all. It's at around 65,000 KM. So about 40,000 Miles. Which is quite impressive especially for a countach!

6K$ for Bushings? Our late local Legend called for transmission seals & the quote was so high that he said "I'll call you back", then he pulled 4 sets of Metric matching seals out of the West Texas farm supply community, sold 3 of them back to the Specialists and made his own day, Peace3ed
$2K for bushings and suspensions pieces for the rear end of my BMW 850. Including a number of them that are produced by a guy in Germany for NLA or even more expensive BMW Parts. Flip slide of that I put a $5 U joint in it versus $500 to rebuild it or $1.000 to replace it

As a former multi X owner, I loved finding shared parts off other cars. I still spot new things I didn't know to this day. Also taught me the the box really does make parts have different prices.

i'm a weird guy. I don't care if it has a v12, a 4 cylinder, hybrid, diesel, compressed natural gas, electric..........whatever.......................I just like the shape of some of the cars. I remember having a poster of a white countach back in the 1980's as well (i think i got it from "schoolastic booksellers" or whatever that had the magazines that went around the school classrooms with posters and books that kids could order)😎 I always told myself that if i saved up enough money working at my first job, i'd buy one at the closest car dealership.🤣😂😅😆😁 I also laugh myself to tears thinking about the scene in "Wolf of Wall Street" when DiCaprio gets high on Qualudes and tries to drive one.😁😆
The carburetted ones are probably so valuable because many of them have burnt to the ground. That happend to a terrible example a few months after I drove it once 40 years ago: NEVER MEET YOUR HEROES!

I'd argue Jay Leno. He's completely different from Cleetus but has a far wider reach. Subscribers don't mean much, view count is where it counts.
