The editing in these tutorials alone is what makes you stand out against others. The subtle animations, sound, screen recordings, b-roll, to explain your process don’t go unnoticed . Amazing work as always!
Okay slowing down the ambient sound effects is such a game changer..I’m just thinking back to a lot of your videos and realizing how freaking nice and dreamy your sound effects are
Looks amazing! I definitely should do some kind of these reels! I've done before but it was cropped footage from my YT Chanel. This one looks awesome! Thanks for the idea 😍
Love the ideas of creative reels, that’s how I actually found your content. Also you can just take all the processes and apply them to general filmmaking great job.
Amazing value on this channel! A true creative helping other creators up their game. Way to be! One more thing I do these days is I made a 5:4 letterbox overlay PNG to turn on and off on the timeline just to check what the reel will look like when it comes up in the regular feed. Since instagram is putting reels in the feed in 5:4 ratio, we have to consider this look as well during the edit. Sometimes it looks dope in 16:9, but when cropped in the feed things are cutting off in the weird places and it looks bad. Maybe won't be a ton of viewers there and who knows how long instagram will keep cropping reels for the feed but something to think about. Keep up the great work bro!
YES, I've been waiting for these, it's so inspiring to see the visions that you have with this format! Thank you for sharing such awesome creative knowledge man! 💯✔🔥
Appreciate the tutorial, I'll be looking back at this video to make some of these. I would love to see your process of editing youtube videos and your export settings
Attention to detail.. when you say the words "instagram's compression" you actually blurred the image to make it look compressed. It's the little things - well done!
I'm new to this, but what's the point of exporting in 4K when Instagram doesn't support 4k? isn't it better to have sequence/export settings set to 640x1136 to match that on instagram? the 4k footage would then downscale but at least you'll have an idea of what it would look like and it wouldn't compress as heavily?
I love this video. What your thoughts on the theory that the higher the bitrate the more Instagram will compress the video to meet its standards. And that there is a sweet spot where compression is minimal. Some guys have said that the Sweet Spot is Target bitrate 25 and Max bitrate 35. At the end of the day Premiere Pro's compression is always better then Instagram's compression. The theory is basically. Not all videos are compressed in the same manner and that it is directly correlated to the bitrate of the video.
Aidin, thanks for making this video. I noticed that you don't have any 3-way split shorts on UA-cam right now (2 years since the release of this video). Do you still think that this style is in demand? Or have you switched your strategy quite a bit?
The care that goes into these videos is phenomenal man. You manage to make a tutorial look like a cinematic movie. I've always said, what is amazing about UA-cam is how it changes mentorship. How it's not anymore about age, or a school gatekeeping who gets to teach who. I love the fact that I learn from people younger than myself. You're doing great work.
Blows my mind how you take something as simple as a Reel and make it so interesting-ly complex. You really thought all this through and it reflects in your work. Well done man!
Bro I bought new MacBook Pro m1 pro and I have Adobe primer pro 2020, while I am editing it’s rendering and get stacking, if I play the video while editing the video stuck and Audio playing, do you have any idea because of what it’s happening?
I never intend to post reels. neither do I intend shoot nightlapses. but damn there's something so entertaining about aidin's content that I still tune in till the last second of each tutorial.. In fact, was actually desperately waiting for aidin to drop his new tutorial. See guys, this is why quality is important! People will appreciate you if you have banger quality. Also it's 4:28 a.m. in India and I should prolly sleep. K. Bye. Keep up the great work aidin 👊
THANKS for the video! I suscribed! One thing, can´t reproduce the video on any cell phone, but Pc works great.. What could it be? Any suggestion would be helpful.. !
Maybe a bit late to respond haha, but I'll try. It's the same question I had because i found many people that suggested to upload 640x1156 reels to do the compression with the software you edit the video with, and some others (including some workers at instagram) that stated that the more information you give to them the better the compression will be, because even if you're uploading the video with the right size and bitrate you will still get it compressed by ig. At the end of the day I found inner peace and decided that i don't care ahah, I think as long as you're above 1080p the compression will still partially ruin your footage but it will look the best it can on ig. One thing to consider is file size, if you know you don't have much storage on your computer, 4k videos can fill it up pretty fast, so consider editing exclusively in 1080p
@@seinka8262 what do you mean by single or two layers? In premiere? like 2 streams of video? If it's that i think that the preset doesn't change from the video and the things i wrote above still apply
@@gerolori i mean 1 layer = 1 scene; 2 layers = two scenes in the same sequence. I want to know what preset I should use so that the two scenes have the same scale 🤔 this is for IG Reels

Great tutorial man. I also love your reels on Instagram. Great work.👍🏼
Hey just FYI, make sure to set your Bitrate to CBR (constant bitrate) or at least Two-Pass. You’ll get way less compression and better colors
i think i need to try CBR. Max CBR?

One question: Instagram reels are 1080x1920 (vertical), why not just divide 1920 by 3? And you get 640? Or does it loose quality doing this way?
