This LP plastic güiro has been around for ages. Don’t be sorry, every major percussion company has copied it and sells one. In some cases, you have to weigh the benefits of durability vs sound. I can’t see myself taking my handmade gourd güiros on the road any time soon 😅✌🏼

We were at a family reunion playing alguinaldos and everyone took a turn playing guiro.
