Comparing a Mach 1 to a GT350R! Not even close. Carbon fiber rims, carbon fiber wing, awesome brakes, front splitter is not two splitters connected together. The Mach 1 is a nice car. Saying the suspension is so much better. Really doubt thats even true. A stock GT350 would be a closer comparison.
The 5.0 is more reliable than the Voo Doo 5.2. I’ve been in the market for a 350 but the more I see the more I’m leaning towards the Mach 1. I’ll be first to say, nothing sounds like it….but it’s a very temperamental engine. And if it goes you’re looking at 25-30k. And I see so many carfax that have the engine replaced on 350’s. The coyote is a solid platform, it’s got magna ride, all the engine, diff coolers, add a tune and some mods, beef up suspension and you got a great car. Just my opinion of course

Get a 10R80 Mach 1, Whipple it (with some great cooling and other supporting mods) and get the suspension perfect with some Steeda and/or BMR stuff and enjoy it. My prediction, if you set it up right it will be significantly quicker than the GT500 you had.

@Nick does the car drive itself? Drivers generally make those differences not the cars themselves. The only way you could get an accurate representation of what performs better is if they both had a manual transmission without rev matching or with the same rev matching and the same driver. On a shorter track the mach 1 will do better. On a longer drive the gt350 with that high revving motor will do better.

All of them don’t have a tick… Also, the tick has proven to be a non-issue. Put some Ceretec in it and it’s good to go… One of the best motors ever made
@Nick it’s not a bad car I actually loved driving the manual with rev matching. It’s not the same feeling as the 350/350r though. Rev matching or the auto will definitely allow the car to perform pretty good out of the box when compared to the 350 which is manual only with no rev matching.
@Nick Different power band and your right it probably is faster in a straight line but track wise I don't think so. Weight does matter. A GT350R will always be worth more. I'm sure the coyote motor and 10 speed is a good combination for drivability. Depending on the person it could be a upgrade. For me I wouldn't be trading my GT350R on a Mach 1.

Lots of people having engines blow and track use is one of the criteria they use to deny coverage despite them actually giving a free track day to owners when they purchase the car. Suck it up, you set the rev limiter at 7,500 rpm and deny someone because they regularly reach that number on a track, then you should have set the limiter lower, just saying.

@@camonly849 I mean I test drove 2 Mach 1’s, one with the auto and one with the tremec. They ride vastly better than a base GT. The suspension is way better and it feels way more planted. It feels almost perfect. But yeah the price puts it in a league with other faster cars.
