- Man, this show has left a lasting impression on me. The unique approach of tune, musical numbers & humor was really refreshing. I feel honestly I didn't appreciate the show as much as I could've while in the moment... but as I sit here typing this I'm just thinking how I sincerely am excited as HELL for SEASON 2!!! Cool detail: Valentino was shocked to see nifty kill adam because he tried to do some predatory shit towards her 4 episodes ago, and now seeing that the same “Little Chiquita” just killed the first man, the dick master, fucking horrified him knowing that this could’ve been him in that club
Also the fact that Nifty jumped on Adams back without him feeling it, the same way she did to Val without him realising. Probably realising that her ripping a clump of fur out of him was actually her being merciful!

Only Sera and the exorcists knew about the exterminations before Adam let it slip in the court hearing. Adam suggested them as a solution to the threat of Hell starting an uprising and Sera begrudgingly allowed it because she felt like it was her only viable option at the time. My best guess is that he wanted an excuse to punish Lilith by slaughtering her people because she dumped his sorry ass.
I think you need to put "begrudgingly" in quotes because there are so many things shown in the show that imply that she wanted to do this and Adam only gave her the justification to decide to do so.
She had the means to check the voracity of what Adam told her, episode 6 explicitly shows that they have this ability, and she never did. That implies that she never cared for the inhabitants of Hell.
"Extermination." She named it or at least was okay with the name. You exterminate pests and vermin. Using this term for people is the dehumanising language that has preceded every atrocity in recorded history.
When Sit Pentious respawns in Heaven Emily looks surprised and happy. If Sera was surpårised to see him she would have had that underlying emotion on her face, instead, she looks like someone who just speedran the existential question of, "Am I the baddie?" and realised that the answer was, "Yes."
The cannibals being surprisingly wholesome was a delightful surprise

Right!! You never get to hear Lute go off in a song like that and I’m hoping for more of her in season 2 because her voice actor absolutely killed that part. I hate Lute (as you’re supposed to) but she’s a great villain with an even better voice. They did such a great job casting this show.
8:57 just an info for Joey and for everyone who don't know, the song that Lucifer play is actually a real song, "the devil went down to georgia" is an old song but is the story about Lucifer loosing a music competition and his never forget that defeat because is the first and only time he challenge someone instead to be challenged.
I was disappointed he didn't note it. I thought he had enough musical background to know it. It's a classic.
A minor detail you only really notice on a rewatch is that Sera's eyes have considerably less lustre than Emily's. The show advertises that she's self-righteous as she sees herself as a seraphim yet lacks one of the defining traits that they should have.
The "million heaven bucks" joke is about how in heaven currency is wortless
okay I know there isn't as much musical numbers in Helluva Boss like there is in Hazbin Hotel, but I think you'd have a BLAST watching and reacting to that! They have a pilot episode with a jingle, before you jump into the actual shows. Personally I love it more than Hazbin, and the few legitimate musical numbers they have, insane.
Pretty sure alistor's plan so far is to become the royal advisor, pretty much ruling hell through someone with how gullable charlie is

If you like Hazbin Hotel i highly recommend Helluva Boss - it‘s the „sister show“ to HH set in the same univers but centered around hellborn characters - it has songs but way fewer

Lucifer showed Charlie a duck when she was a baby. So now years later when he's depressed, he's hyperfixated on what made him happy, what made his daughter happy.

Fellow Mimzy for the last 11 years😅 I have to chime in that it was an exciting personal experience to hear such a minor character shove their way into the main story and dipping out indefinitely until the next filler B story😅 I was so lucky to get the first watch of each episode in an empty house because I was WAY too involved with each roller coaster dip from Alastor's "...call me da~ad", "let's make a deal", to the showdown in episode 8 had me so glad for modern technology allowing us to pause and rewind ad nauseam for a small serotonin binger😅😅😅

It's kind of a plot hole they didn't elaborate and I think that is part of what made the whole 'angels can't be harmed' part so confusing. They never specified they didn't know angel's could be harmed by demons. idk, I'm hoping they clarify this in the next season

The thing about Alistor is that he never had is own song/style - he always takes the style of others. He never shows his true personality/style.
Alastor is a serial killer, that makes him a sociopath. They always do what's in their own best interest, this makes them massive cowards who only engage in things that they think they can win at. They never do anything where they might fail since their best interest is to never fail. Alastor vamoosed when it looked like he could fail and Sir Pentious went ahead even if he knew there was a low chance of success.

i'd understand if this was an analysis, but it's a reaction, and though i realize your music background, it can get super annoying when you're overanalyzing the music instead of just enjoying the moment and the progress through the story. hazbin, especially, uses its music to move the story ahead promptly, therefore you're bound to miss some things if you're only looking at the music itself and not the story it's attempting to tell.

I don’t think he called it cheesy in a bad way 😭 it’s cheesy looking at it without context, but it’s a good song for him and Charlie and the situation . Plenty of people find cheesy things good either way
