Funny but there it keeps not working 😅 either you don't role the spell or it doesn't go off when you're desperate for it, or he has to hide on the back of the unit to avoid the higher initiative on the charge of some scary melee chap.
Great work! Really enjoy these old world reviews. It's so interesting getting the perspective of someone who clearly has an empire + 40K background and looks at stuff through that lens. I play empire and skaven and the Old World has been ROUGH to by boys/rats. Thank goodness for 6th edition. P.S. whatever you do, don't compare an abomination to a giant spawn. Just don't do it. ❤
Im crazy biased to the Grey Seer on bell with the storm condenser and the ruby ring. Yes it costs a bomb, but the kill magic is just funny. I do manage to kill the points worth sometimes, but me and my friends play 3k so idk if thats a valid opinion? 😅
Can’t you put the warp-stone armor onto him? Warpstone armor basically says it counts as heavy armor and can be worn by wizards. I’m likely never taking it for the price but still it’s an option
@Mordian Glory, please stop putting apostrophes in your plurals-- you do it here with Pros and Cons, and you do it in every live stream with the word Minis 😅 plurals do not use an apostrophe lol
Man i play lizardmen and my whole faction has like 5 units I’m envious of all these choices. I just want bow skinks… And bolt throwers that don’t need to be on a dinosaur…
Plague Priest is absolutely great. An amazing combination of a mage and a warrior. With plague censer and Hammerhand he can cause a lot of trouble for enemies. I always put him in an army and I always give him a lvl2 wizard. Screaming Bell may look good, but it's bad. It has the annoying property of ringing out the exact blows you don't need at the moment. HPA's Avalanche of Flesh is a total massacre for infantry with small bases. And Warp Lightning Cannon? Definitely the worst unit in the Skaven army. This thing is useless EVEN if you roll the best dice!!!
Warlord is a pass sadly and not for any weaknesses of its own, rather just that it shares a 0-1 per 1k with Greyseers, which, despite their high cost, are auto-include 2 in a 2k games because so much of the army relies on recieving buffs from them. Losing one for a warlord sadly is hard downgrade.
Very disappointing but Clan rats are a pass despite being a requirement. The fact that the best way to field tour required clanrats is 2x20 naked says it all. Weapons teams are only a decent option because they come out of your core, if they were a special option they'd never see the table. It's arguably better to spend the points on giant rat darts and swarms.
Rat Swarms being unbreakable is very valuable, fast(ish) vanguarding skirmishing unbreakable wounds dense... Just low output otherwise brilliant. And you want 3, most things will kill one base in a round, 3 bases though let's them fulfill they sticky roles.
You're very very wrong about rat ogres, Rat ogres are deceptively low durability especially per point cost. They're Frenzied with decent speed so they get baited by anyone even vaguely competent. And they have pitiful output, if they somehow survive getting punched first by whatever chose to charge them (they get baited and counter charger almost without fail) they have sweet sweet strength 5!... But no built in AP, so you're relying on armour bane? How many do you think are going to pop? Not enough to do anything meaningful, and at their cost they have to be your performance unit (you're absolutely right if you're trying to make them work you need 6+, that's a huge cost)
These Old World army composition rules are absolutely nonsensical. And I really don't get why Globadiers need to be limited by your number of Engineers, whereas you not only don't need Moulders to take Rat Ogres and even goddamn Hellpit Abominations, but the moulders aren't even characters anymore.
I love these Old World series.
Finally man-thing Mordian make-does a video for me-me.
Love the format.
Bois I think 13 Jezzails are absolutely slept on if a Grey Seer nearby takes lore familiar, battle magic, curse of arrow attraction.
what are your thoughts on the doom wheel?
Thank you for this VID! EPIC!
Silly option that is potentially stupidly killy, Grey Seer with Illusion and the Fellblade. Getting 2d6 str 6 no save hits is scary

@@That_Rat_Bastrdyeah, one of those meme list builds not an actual useful one.

love the old world stuff keep it up
Dark Elves and Chaos dwarfs would be awesome
Skaven girls are always a smash imo

The fault is not Mordians dear sir, it is I the Editor that must ANSWER! Please LAMBAST me this time
@DeathKorpsOfWrath LAMBAST!

Yes-yes, all best units, except me. I best-best. - Any Skaven model
Wait, are Skaven Slaves not a thing anymore?
Whos going to get shot instead of me-me?
without slaves we are doom doom 😔
Clanrats with zero upgrades are basically the same thing. They're utter trash and very cheap 😅
Where is the Doomwheel entry? :D
you missed the doom wheel XD

What do you think of the Doomwheel?
Yes-yes
is this official or fanmade?
Globechukkas need str 3
Doomwheel??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably doesn't bode well that he forgot it, probably Mordian doesn't like them as did to empire cannons easily
@@OmnisKorrecta 😄😄😄After the review, I went to look at their rules and they are very interesting
Chaos warriors please.

28:37 you do not need a warlock engineer to field weapons teams.

Beware rolling the immune to psychology result on the bell if you run gutter runner, it prevents your evasive fire and flee shenanigans.

LOL, are you sure you know what "smash or pass" actually means???
Fortificatuons, varoety of missions, objectives, placeable terrain like AoS, SO much more ToW is lacking.
