Agreed. (abridged from one of my comments in reddit-) They can create Drones microscopic in size or as big as Starfleet ships. And almost all of that space would go to essential systems, i.e Power, Defense, Weapons & computing. You don't need those wastes of space called rooms & life support used by biological organisms. And the pilot could be an AI coordinating across thousands of ships, millions of times faster than a Biological organism could ever do, that actually thinks of space as 3 dimensional (or 5 dimensional). But what if they turned against us? Ahh, I see you're still afraid of Control re-emerging. If you're that unsure, use remote piloting (you don't need telepathy if you stay a LY behind). You could again have much better co-ordination as well as have pilots that survive every encounters. Then there is sheer numbers. You can't compete with a million individually moving drones when all you have are some 30-50,000 ships in the 24th century (or thousands of drones & tens of ships in the 22nd century). And if all hope is lost, you have thousands of RKMs (think Kinetic Altitude missiles but at a considerable fraction of the speed of light). If one of these newly created RKMs destroyed a warp core or something similar in the enemy's fleet, you'll have wreaked havoc/chaos as well as weakened their shields & defenses.
Well drones are mainly used in land and air based operations, where space combat is more closely comparable to modern naval combat. The thing about that is that to pack enough firepower for practical use, a vessel needs to be large and large vessels don't lend well to remote control. Now if the problem of size and firepower can be solved then drone ships can be very viable
@@cpasr8065 Yes there are three dimensions, but but the maneuverability and flexibility is more comparable to naval combat, which is what I'm looking at

Dusty roadz I think the Romulan war could’ve been their answer to Star Wars the clone wars series and I think this series should’ve aired on Nickelodeon and should’ve been made in 2006 and aired from 2006 to 2009 with three seasons (Who should make and produce the series i vote Steve marmel the former developer of Danny phantom I am saying it should been made by the same people that did Danny phantom) and it would be a micro series (Similar to the clone wars 2003 microseries) like and comment if you agree
So like. Is the stuff established by TOS on the Romulan war just totally retconned now?
To the people who know stuff: Why does the Federation never employ combat drones?
It seems quite strange to me
Agreed. (abridged from one of my comments in reddit-)
They can create Drones microscopic in size or as big as Starfleet ships.
@@haberak3310 I would imagine it is closer to aerial combat for one reason- 3 dimensions.
@@cpasr8065 Yes there are three dimensions, but but the maneuverability and flexibility is more comparable to naval combat, which is what I'm looking at
@@haberak3310 They were used by the random space terrorists in new star trek 3 and shown to be quite effective (not a part of main continuity I know). Besides, Federation ships seem to have a problem with targeting multiple anemies at once and and often miss in such conditions. Romulans for example could use this to their advantage, but the klingons would never do that.
Im hungry for early starfleet
Section 31 existed before the federation? Sooo what exactly was its goal then? To protect Earth from threats?
Didn't the Klingon Kolos who was Archer's Klingon lawyer really do it to pay back a debt?
rick, please do a video about the transporters & holodecks in star trek,& please do a video about jabba
the hutt's slaves & slaves costumes & please do a video about how to marry & divorce someone in star trek & star wars universe
Gotta love some Klingon Vagabonds
So how did the Romulans magic hacking actually work?
Computer virus based on Vulcan programming acquired through spies.
fools, children, and ships named Enterprise

Trip, Trip, HURRAH! Trip, Trip, HURRAH!
Is that the actor who portrayed the alien from the X-Files in the thumbnail? The one with the eye-burning toxic blood?
Yeah, he played the alien head hunter
That's Brian Thompson, who was also Klag in ST:TNG "A Matter of Honor".
In “Let That Be Your Last Battlefield” wasn’t Cheron said to have been previously unknown to the Federation until 2268? So how can there have been a battle there 100 years prior?
You can have more than one place with the same name...like cities named Columbus, Springfield, or Greenville.
DIFFERENT 'Cheron'!
There was the Cheron system, and then later you meet a species in a different system whose name for their planet is Cheron. Are you going to tell them, "No, you can't call it that. That name is already taken."
Now that you mention it, wouldn't it be funny if we were visited by aliens, and they said, "Sorry, this isn't Earth. That name's already taken. We''ll just call you SquishyGibbet, which means 70% Water."
@@tiggergolah Well I’d prefer SwishyGibbet over Ugly Bags of Mostly Water!
@@tiggergolah OR Rigellians, come and speak Rigellian, but it sounds just LIKE English, & they say you don't speak English, you speak Rigellian, they just SOUND the same!
Nice try with "sleep" Archer. A man 200 years ahead of his time.
But... what if the Romulans had just gone over the allied ships 🤔

?????????????
Everytime I see a picture of the federation, I can't help but laugh at how stupid the design is. That giant stupid staircase... I mean, what is the point of that design?
First!
Jokes on you, I just stayed up 3 o clock in the morning just to watch Rick's video.
Cyberwarefare and Klingons coming to aid Starfleet in 22nd century....
Mmmhhh , maybe Enterprise IS really Set in an alternate Timeline cause by the Events of Star Trek First Contact after all.... cause these Events seem out of place.
Well, the Klingons are not a homogeneous group, even though they have a leader (Emperor/Chancellor). They consist oft several houses, which quite often compete against each other for power.
@@Timberwolf69 i know.... But to think that the lawyer, who defended Archer and disgraced HIMSELF by getting imprisoned for 1 year in Rura Pente has had still a little fleet of His own,.... Just seems to much.
@@JAGtheTrekkieGEMINI1701 Well, this would mean that he was head of a house, albeit a smaller one.
As a lawyer, there's not much to lose for him or his house, as these jobs aren't regarded as very honorable. And if he survives a year in RP, the only way is up for them. And this path is filled with gloirious battles.
@@Timberwolf69 yeah but a House which is not considered honorable in the first place or disguised as such(House of Duras) should Not have a small fleet of klingon ships.
@@JAGtheTrekkieGEMINI1701 These ships are owned by the houses. The Klingon Defense Forces doesn't exist at this point and even later on, the bulk of the Klingons' forces are provided by the houses.
If a house leader is stripped from his honor, so are the rest of his house. Those loyal to their leader will fight for him, wherever he goes, in hope that the bravery they show in these fights might restore their personal honor upon death.
And yet, until Kirk fought that Bird of Prey, Federation had never seen a Romulan. What a lore rape.
Stuff & nonsense. Jolan tru!
