This "soprano role" is quite often sung by mezzos including Troyanos, Simionato, Bumbry, Zajick and of course the tremendous Cossotto here whose performance has never been bettered.
Thank God people know better now, about giving too much power to another person. If she had turned the tables around and played indifferent to him, he would have reacted differently. haha
