I went to the Atlanta concert last night. Jeff said, "Thank you for sticking with us for all these years," but I thought, no, we should be the ones thanking him for "My Blue Sky" and all the other great songs.
I wonder why Jeff said 'us' in the first place, where it's concerning ELO's it's just 'him' as Jeff never wanted to tour much with 'us' i.e. the original ELO band.... this is just Lynne with a group of hired hands... there is no real ELO anymore because most of the real 'us' sadly passed away over recent years :(
@tonyvandergaag8765 There must be a reason why, don't you think, and what it's got to do with you 🤔, its certainly not because he's arrogant and wants all the fame etc etc, there you've shot yourself in the foot, because he's the most modest very very talented man who doesn't want fame, he does this because he loves it, not the money nor fame. He's not Paul McCartney, Reg Dwight or Rod Stewart who actually lives in Los Angeles, all 3 knighted for doing bugger all, and so far up their own backsides it's embarrassing. It's got nothing to do with you, the same as the other way round ❤
What's nice about Mr Lynne is he's very talented but also seems humble at the same time unlike a poular band from the nineties reforming next year. The best bit of this for me is the Lady in perspect at the back, lovely vocals. I enjoyed them in my youth and they're still great.
I saw them Sept. 17 at Madison Square Garden. A fantastic show. I saw the Stones in May and the last Aerosmith show in September of 2023. ELO was better than those shows and the many other shows that I went to. The Eagles were as good as ELO. I had similar seats floor seats 20 rows back. No one sat the whole show. . Great video. Thanks.
Great show. Saw them in Indy. I was a little shocked at how bad his walk is. Reminded me of Joe Biden. I keep forgetting how many of these guys are in their late 70's or 80's.
I think Jeff's the only one that is old, since I don't believe any other original members are left, but it doesn't matter. Great show. Glad he came to Boston.
He's 77 years old here, it's a miracle he's managing to do it, he's an old man with an old body. I'm 77 years old and l know, the other day walking from shopping I've always walked fast, l started off fast but l kept slowing and I'm thinking why is this happening, its because my body is wearing out. How he does this with all the anxiety from one state to another, its America not England is beyond me. He loves doing it, he's not into fame, the smile on his face he tries to do makes me want to cry. It's going to be dreadful for him next year, not body, emotional, I'd love to go and see him, but l can't. He's more than an icon, he's a lovely modest, humble, very very talented man and I admire him. A credit to the black country Birmingham, an OBE is sacrilege, where's his KNIGHTHOOD, nobody deserves it more than him ❤
It's sad that the show won't be seen here in Lynne's home country, but there you go, he's under no obligation. It would also have been nice to have had some obscurities in the set list rather just the crowd-pleasers. From Lynne's history of interviews, it seems he never understood how much his 70s output was loved or why.
If you look closely, you will notice that Jeff is not really playing guitar. Still, the music is still great; I've been a fan since '72 when he was more progressive.
@@johnlloyd1388 I was noticing that, as well as watching a few other clips on youtube where it appeared that he forgot to walk up to the mic before he started to sing. He is a gem and an amazing talent. I have my original copy of the Eldorado Album framed in my media room. Unfortunately, father time catches up with all of us.
@@RichardPolakiewicz These days that’s a good question. I’ve been shocked at some of obvious lip syncing that has been going on. I’m looking at you, Roger Waters! How could you?) But I don’t think Jeff is syncing here. What would be the point? Well, money. But I don’t think he is. Oh wait. There is the moment during “Living Thing” when the violinist stands in the spotlight and does not play the violin but the sound of the solo plays. So maybe. Damnit!
@@ivejustseenaband1702 ELO did get into 'trouble' decades ago for (a harpist performing a cartwheel) not exactly a live performance. I'm not a Lynn fan anyway.
@@ivejustseenaband1702 ok...fair. personally I thought it was the drummer himself very dry....not enough soul. A very clear distinction from the last drummer...let me find the sample
Such a shame the Irish national lottery was allowed to high Jack this song. Shame on Jeff Lynn and ELO for allowing this song to be used as a gambling anthem for the greed of the Irish national lottery. Absolutely disgusting shame!
the most underrated musical genius on the planet
Happiest song in the world by a genius songwriter.
Every now and then I hear a song that I never want to end .... this is THAT ! JEFF & ELO FOREVER !!
Musical genius, musical legend. Jeff Lynne!🎸🎸
Thank you Jeff & ELO. You have given us such beautiful music. Best band ever!
This song just lifts me up all the time when I listen to it!!
A song that never fades, and never will!! Absolutely love it ❤❤👍👍
This song always brightens up my day no matter what.
True for most of their songs. How anyone doesn't feel better after hearing their music I'll never understand.

Jeff still has it ..big time. Inspirational.
Wow. Kudos to Jeff and all the band. Takes me back to the first time I saw the amazing artwork on that double LP... another world. Thanks for posting.
Incredible, thank you for all the great music.
Super Song ,The Best from The Best Jeff Lynne❤❤❤😂🎉
I so admire how they keep it to the original recorded version as much as possible and don't "play around" with it.
Rock On Jeff! THANK YOU for one last tour of N.A.
I agree! We saw Jeff & his band on Sept. 23rd in Boston. It's been nearly forty years since I first heard these songs. And, they are still amazing! 😊
Thank you Jeff… I’ve been a fan for ever and seen you at Wembley and the 02. Amazing as ever. RIP Richard Tandy. ❤️
Są świetni ,i mają coś do przekazania...👍💞
Keep going ELO ,one of the best songs written ,Geoff certainly ageing now!
R.I.P. Richard Tandy! ❤️
So happy to see you and so many still rocking ....
Utterly brilliant 😊
Saw their last US show in Phoenix, what an emotional experience with the lasers and huge set. Absolutely incredible.
My kids they grow up listening this music and still like it because of me I LOve it ❤❤
❤❤❤❤Danke für.

A band and a half I'd say One of the best bands ever!
Never get tired of hearing them.
Que maravilloso verlo de nuevo tantos años de música de genialidad te admiro con mi ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ de Chile país de sur de america😊
End of an era..pure genius..
I'm 79 and enjoyed their music for a lot of years, I live near Portland but couldn't make this show which I regret.
I love the guy banging on the fire extinguisher 💥💥💥

Great way to end the show. Thanks for posting. I was at the Pittsburgh show 9-10-24, great concert.

I saw them in Chicago. It was one of the best shows I've seen in years.
Why is MELANIE surrounded by a Glass Screen...is it to keep Husband MIKE "Milton" away from Her....Gorgeous, as ever...G.A.R.
Sound screen to reduce mic spillover.
Melanie is the prettiest vocal chorister in the world

Goose bumps every time.
They might be old but still can jam
Yes they are older but they can still absolutely fantastic ❤❤❤
Awesome 👌

Oh...he is in fact getting old...., for the last 30 years he has not got older..., but now I see it.... an icon nevertheless
Yep age waits for no name. The very last concert is at Hyde Park in London July '25. That will be so emotional

It is standard for this song - it was even mentioned on the album

Well… u saw a great band. I caught their show in Philly (9.20.24)

Where are the Langley girls Jeff? Good to see they're rocking it out. 😊

nothing like back in the day
Saw them last night in Boston. You could not be more wrong.
Nashville show was assume
I just saw them in Atlanta. Mr Blue Sky was the only encore song. What was your other encore song?
Roll over Beethoven.. I believe..
Perhaps straining to the limits?

Mechanical and anaemic.
God it’s so old hat other than the Traveling Wilburys what he done in the last 25 years
