Omg! You glued those ‘ hello “ die cuts together so fast .! I tried to glue words together and it was the most difficult thing I have done! I must say mine were not that straight. Lol
Could not help but think this was like a college course in 37 minutes. You covered such an extent of material. Your voice overs and demonstrations and ideas are impeccable.
I always save your videos to watch with dinner. Then I often have to play afterward with the new ideas. Since I HAVEN'T gotten rid of my embossing powders I used lime, platinum and clear on a "Hello" sentiment. It turned out great!
I watched all your videos for years and never commented on them. I’m too shy but I decided that I will start now. You are an amazing humain. You teach us and share your passion with us. You helped me through so many things in my life just by being there and sharing your life and love. Thank you so much.
I'm only 2:15 in to the video, but the tip to use a binder clip on the anti-static bag was worth the price of admission! :) I do love all your videos and ideas. Thank you for sharing your talent with us in such easy to follow ways!
Jennifer, you are truly an artist!! Your placement of the pearls was perfection! Very balanced, seen by the eyes of an artist. I love all your videos as I always learn, and I thank you for that. I am 75 and you can still teach an old dog new tricks!!
I just love how you come up with these different ways of using products that we probably already have. Your creative mind just amazes me. I hope you are feeling better. Food poison is not fun, I've had it.
I loooooove this. Honestly... heat embossing is what got me hooked on card making more than 20 years ago. It's so magical. I didn't know you could use glue... wow. I don't know why... but I have a terrible time with clear embossing powder. I love the layers of embossing you did... such great impact.
Jennifer, my adoration for you is never going to diminish if you keep producing such beautiful art!! 🙃 You asked which card your audience would try, I think I'm going to run the entire gambit and see if I CAN get that many done! I'm sure they won't be as gorgeous but I NEED the practice anyway! Lol Wish me luck! Thank you, always, for the inspiration!! 💕
Basic embossing is what made me fell in love with heat embossing. I thought it was "magic," and still do. But it is true, sometimes we forget some of the basics. Thanks to your video, it inspires to get back to it. So thank you. I am in love with the cards that you created with the sss sweet garden cherry frame die. Oh and the bird one, and the last one, sending happy thoughts. Those flowers came out so gorgeous. I never tried embossing powders over, wet glue/let dry & heat set, technique. So "that" I will try very soon. I also love the technique when you heat up crafting foam, then press your rubber stamp in it. When you use a brownish color, the result kinda looks like leather. See, your video sparks my inspiration of forgotten techniques, cause the card with the butterfly sinking into the hot embossed heart, made me say: o ja (Dutch for, Oh, I remember that) So yes.... Thank you Jennifer.
Thank you immensely for explaining this technique!! I am new to card making and couldn't understand why my embossing wasn't working. Now I know what to do different so my cards can bless others💕🐬
Thanks so much. I used to put 3 layers of embossing powder on the little wooden pieces that match a theme, but I haven't done it in a bit. I still remember you telling us the best way to mask is to use clear embossing powder. Your videos are the ones I love to watch to learn something new.
I have used multiple layers of embossing powder after learning it from you. It made such a difference! Now I want to try that impression! Thank you for all you do! You always inspire me!
Jennifer, I love the thick domed effect you got by adding multiple layers of embossing powder over your sentiment. That is an effect I will definitely be trying in the future. Thank you once again for your time and the energy you put into these videos for us. And thank your family too for sharing your time. Have a great weekend!
Loved all the tips on embossing, just never knew you could emboss with glue. My favorite aspect was how you used the combination of backgrounds and then embossing to make these cards in two videos!
Great information and tips, thank you Jennifer! Glad to know I’m not the only one that has problems with black embossing powder! It seems impossible to not have stray black dots even when you’ve used the anti-static tool so I will be ordering the good black ink you recommended and no more black embossing powder. I will also start to emboss with multiple layers when it will be most useful. In the past I have tried embossing word die cuts but always tried holding it with a tweezers which does not work well and I quit trying. Now I know to use my low tack tape as my holder! Thanks again for sharing your creativity with us!
Thank you! I’ve been struggling with my black embossing powder. Your suggestion to use black in and clear embossing powder really worked well for me!!! ❤
Thank you for this video. I love your videos because they're always full of fabulous tips and this is no different. I've been heat embossing for a little while now, but I still learned some new things today. I really appreciate you sharing all of your wonderful knowledge and beautiful cards with us.
Another awesome technique video! You share the BEST ideas! I've only tried the multiple embossing technique but will try the others you demonstrated. Have a GREAT weekend! Hope you're feeling better, you have lots of caring nurses!💕
I had no idea I could use glue with embossing powders as long as they dry first. That makes wonderful small dots and details that you can't get with the versamark pad. Also in love with the triple heat embossing that gives such a glossy shine. Great interesting video
thanks for sharing! I have learned a lot from your videos. One embossing technique i discovered recently was similar to your last one - using layered stamps (like altenew rose stamps), but switching to pigment ink for the last one or two layers and embossing the last one or two layers. The result was so beautiful, similar to layered die cutting roses but more natural. You may already knew about it. If not, it is definitely worth trying.
Heat Embossing 101. Educational. For some reason, heat embossing has been difficult for me for many reasons (also to my family because they don’t trust me handling such a fine powder flying everywhere), but this video eases me. Next time I go haywire craft shopping, I will not fear to try embossing powders. Maybe I should research what’s out there and try some as a start. Last time I wanted to try, I was bombarded with all the various options of colors and fineness of the powders. I want my sky to be little lower before I get advanced.
When I first got started I thought I needed all of these different colors of embossing powder. Then I learned that I could stamp with a dye ink and then use a clear embossing powder to have SO many colors!! Also, I learned that I could stamp with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, heat emboss with clear embossing powder, and not need black embossing powder at all (saves that black powder mess too). It also helped me to learn always to get FINE embossing powder. It works better with the print of small letters and gives a smoother finish, but can be used anytime also. No need for multiple textures of embossing powder. Hope that helps. I hope you'll give it a bigger try Paperieful!!
I always pick up new ideas and am reminded of things to try whenever I watch your videos. Your engineering skill comes through in your cardmaking! I love how you used the negative space with the Misti to stamp accurately. Also, I can't wait to try layering some die cuts to get the faux metallic look. I'm planning to to use some tool die cuts that I have for masculine cards. Thank you for your continued inspiration.
I did that multiple layer embossing with hot powder on numbers, for my parents' 50th anniversary party. I used the platinum powder. They went on a trifold board with photos, and the 50 stood out sooooo well. It looked almost like stainless steel. I think I did 7 layers of powder, on chipboard numbers.
I appreciate your videos so much. Fabulous ideas and I always learn something! Thank you! And thank you for your kindness that exudes through your videos.
Great tips from this video and the one before. I just finished inking 8 backgrounds with white ink on some and versamark on some. Waiting for them to dry until tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing the magic!
I think the "Thinking of you" card is my favorite (but definitely love them all). I'm going to try combining embossing powders. Yes, I am interested in seeing a video on how to combine leftovers. Thanks!
I love heat embossing! You get a lot of bang for your buck! I recall watching videos using distress powder and since it is translucent, it would be perfect for the techniques you show here, especially the one with the bird image. Beautiful as always 😃 TYFS ❤️🦋💜
Thank you for the tips! I do struggle with embossing. It seems like no matter how much static powder I use I still end up with little specks on my paper. I have almost exclusively gone with pigment ink and clear embossing powder. I am determined to try some of these tips to improve my look.😊
Thank you for the inspiration- I didn’t have any glitter embossing powder, so I used some “sticky stuff” from juddikins, layered some glitter on it, then layered two layers of clear embossing powder...worked quite nicely!
Thank you Jennifer this tutorial came at a time when l was trying to emboss with black embossing powder and not having great success but stamping in the black Versafine and then embossing in clear what a difference. So glad l watched you. Thank you for your knowledge and sharing it with us.
Dear Jennifer Thank u so much. I hv not had much luck with embossing powder as I cannot get gd card stock in Sri Lanka. I am trying get sm gd card stock and try it again. I loved the heart and butterfly embossing a lot. Tc stay safe
Great tips! I like using more than one layer of embossing powder! Will try using a stamp in many layers for an impression as I thought that was beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
So many good tips - like how to get those stray fibers off of die cuts l! Thank you for the awesome video! I'm thinking I'll take some of these ideas and use it on the layered orchids set from Hero Arts and I want to try that rubber stamp impression look, too. So pretty!
Love these Jennifer. Once did several layers of embossing powder, great result but had since forgotten about it. Would try them all, thanks for sharing.
I loved this. Idea mostly because you demonstrated so many techniques which I loved! I am completely new to this form of art. BUT, I have so many questions! To emboss, do you just use a heat tool or do I need a special tool? How did you get those “die cut” cutouts? Do you have a beginner’s video?
To emboss you need an embossing heat tool. The die cut cutouts use dies and a die cutting machine. I am sorry that I don't have a specific video for beginners. But you may find it helpful to search my blog for My Crafty Things videos. It shows many products and how they are used.
I sooo love your cards and fab techniques Jennifer. Can you please tell me where yoy got your round circles/dots stencil ftom please! Would love to get one. Thank you. Love BK xxx
Surely, with the die-cut bird, you could also press the versamark pad over the whole die cut if you dont have a stamping tool or have already removed the stamps. I know the embossing powder would get onto the white portion too, but with a small border like that it wouldnt be that noticeable. Great video, seeing you in my feed is always a highlight.
I’m new to card making (new to your channel 😀) & was told to buy stamps. I purchased many rubber wooden stamps but I see that you used that type of stamp only once in this video. I can’t get my sentiments as crisp as yours while embossing. I don’t know if it’s my pressure, too much ink, too little ink etc..using the wooden stamps. Do you prefer the clear stamps over the wooden rubber stamps? Is it possible to layer using different colors & embossing layers on a wooden rubber stamp either a sentiment or various shapes? Thanks 🙏 Great video!
Rubber stamps actually stamp very well. I love them both and many background stamps (most) that I use are red rubber. It's hard to say why you are having trouble but one thing is to stamp lightly vs pushing down too hard on the stamp. That can make your image of any kind less clear. I'm not sure I understand your last question. Sorry
Omg! You glued those ‘ hello “ die cuts together so fast .! I tried to glue words together and it was the most difficult thing
I have done! I must say mine were not that straight. Lol
Your class is so matter of fact and methodical. I enjoy your style
Thank you for once-again making a blue day brighter. You allow me to escape for a time- I want to be Lila for a day, lol.
Thanks for resurrecting old techniques that we forget to use, especially with the stash of products that we accumulate. Beautiful cards!
I watched all your videos for years and never commented on them. I’m too shy but I decided that I will start now.
You are an amazing humain. You teach us and share your passion with us. You helped me through so many things in my life just by being there and sharing your life and love. Thank you so much.
You are so kind to post and I'm glad you are here with us!
So glad I found your videos, I've been disappointed with my attempts.
Jennifer - you are the QUEEN of original thinking. Thanks for these great ideas and BTW I like the wreaths the most but they were all beautiful!
Thanks so much 😊
I'm only 2:15 in to the video, but the tip to use a binder clip on the anti-static bag was worth the price of admission! :) I do love all your videos and ideas. Thank you for sharing your talent with us in such easy to follow ways!
Love ❤️ them all!! Wish you lived closer. Hugs 🤗 from North Carolina
Wonderful instructions. Your voice is so calming too!
Jennifer, you are truly an artist!! Your placement of the pearls was perfection! Very balanced, seen by the eyes of an artist. I love all your videos as I always learn, and I thank you for that. I am 75 and you can still teach an old dog new tricks!!
Love all these tips for this newbie to embossing.
You are a great teacher. Thank you for everything.
Really love that impression one. I've never seen or done that before. Super cool.
Ohh so great. Your latest videos are a real Academy of Cardmaking. Thanks a lot. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️💕💞💗
Really learn so much from your videos. Thank you for indicating the size of the cards.
I just love how you come up with these different ways of using products that we probably already have. Your creative mind just amazes me. I hope you are feeling better. Food poison is not fun, I've had it.
this was so helpful even though I know how to emboss. or so I thought! you gave me great ideas and your narration is excellent.
I loooooove this. Honestly... heat embossing is what got me hooked on card making more than 20 years ago. It's so magical. I didn't know you could use glue... wow. Jennifer, what a great video!! This is an excellent compilation of techniques, I'm definitely going to bookmark this one. Thank you!! ❤
Simple and basic ideas that produce awesome results. Thank you for always "showing me the way" to creativity!

Hi, quick question, can I print a picture I have put together myself and use embossing powder and heat gun to make it emossed and stand out please??
Love these ideas! Thank you!
I’ve never tried multiple layers of embossing, but I will now! I love the smooth, rounded effect. Thanks, Jennifer!
Never knew about the glue with embossing powder... thanks for the tip!!

You are amazing 🤩 just wanted you to know ♥️
Great tips Jennifer thank you
Love! Can!t wait to try them all especially the heart butterfly technique!
Great ideas. I want to try them all

Wonderful tips, thanks Jennifer.
Thank you, this has given me some ideas to use my powders creatively as up until now I’ve just used them in the basic way.
So many great ideas for using my embossing powders in new creative ways! Thanks for all the inspiration! ❤
So good! I’m surely going to try the faux glitter sentiment die cut.
Like your video’s very much.

Embossing powder will also stick to water if you want to emboss splatters or fine spray. It sticks to the paper once heated just fine. 😊
I didn't know that!
I always forget I can use EP with glue! Definitely gotta try that!
I’m new to card making (new to your channel 😀) & was told to buy stamps. I purchased many rubber wooden stamps but I see that you used that type of stamp only once in this video. Gorgeous Hello card
This may have been asked. But where do you get your embellishment poker? And your bling embellishments?
kat scrappiness
I’ve just recently rediscovered embossing powder, I’m going to have to give multiple layers a try
All of them are very pretty:)
Hi Jennifer, Thank you for all you do.
Just a quick reminder: You said you would do another video on inside tunnel card and inside shadow card.
it will happen - just no sure when. I have to fit it in!
@@jennifermcguireink Thank you!
I like the green background one
