Yet another video from you that just ‘knocks it out of the park!’ I absolutely love embossing folders - they can be used to create such elegant projects, and are at such a great price point, making card making an affordable hobby to so many more people. Hi Jennifer, I've several of the techniques with traditional embossing folders before, but have never tried inking and running it through twice, which I think would really improve my results. So simple, and yet I had never thought of it. Thank you! What fixative do you like/use? I've tried three different brands, all 'low odor,' and yet they all smelled awful, even after being outside for two days, the smell was still bad enough I never used them. I'd be thrilled to find a fixative that doesn't smell badly. Thanks again! UA-cam really needs to add a love option, like FaceBook has, because I love these cards. You're awesome!

Dear Jennifer, I tried a few different ways and I simply cannot create the even inked-embossed look inside the frame! It's super splotchy and uneven, I re-inked the emobssing folder once again carefully over the image, only to create a similar effect. I've done this a few times. I used Stampabilites and Color Box Dye Ink and regular cardstock with 2 types of embossing folders. I use a little Sizzix Texture Boutique embossing machine. I inked the "flat" side of the embossing folder where the design is recessed (not raised). Is it because I'm using a smaller, perhaps less powerful embossing machine?? Is it my cardstock? Bad quality ink? I can't figure this out.
i haven't used those inks. are the juicy? have you repeated the process as i show on the one example? i don't have that embossing machine either. maybe add a cardstock shim?
I definitely carefully repeated the process. Hmmm. I'm going to add a cardstock shim, will change up the ink and get the one you used... I have to start ruling some things out ! Thank you Jennifer, your cards are amazing.
These are all so beautiful. I have always loved dry embossing and I have amassed quite of a selection over the past 19 yrs. I have done this where I used the mini ink cubes just by drawing them down the folder in rainbow order before embossing and it was well received. Your cards are beautiful and I love the embossing folders you have used. TFS!
