- We put 3 Mitsubishi L200's to the test to see how efficient they are when loaded up to their maximum 3.5T towing weight. Could they handle our 'Jeep destroyer' GRASSMEN trailer?

get one with the automatic. a 6 speed manual on a pick up you are gonna shift yourself silly.
have run mine for 2 years. only problem is a not so good defroster and the battery had to be replaced. other then that its a great little thai truck :D but here they have max 3,1 tonne pull capacity. strange.

Just depends we would run about 160 litres up to 200 depending on load drag etc.

I think they need something bigger like Duramax, Cummins power stroke, i don't feel comfortable with that tiny engines.
Can only tow 3.5 with tri axle trailer only 3.1 max on twin axle no other manufacturer states this.
Ever tried to use cars that exclude Diesel and Benzin.. but uses alternative Fuel like Electric power?
The pickup I want is a reconditioned Mercedes ux 100 hst p t o frunt and back lol
i average 26mpg running empty (no towing) on ATs in my 16 plate barbarian series 5
Been testing mine recently and getting 33.5 empty

My mate has one - bought 2nd hand admittedly - but with only 30 something thousand miles on her. Not long after purchase and still in the 30's the engine seized on it.
Got a new motor put in on warranty by Mitsi. Now - that new engine has blown the head gasket.
Toyota is way better than these..
No buddy. Toyotas WERE really reliable years ago but not so much now. These tritons are much more reliable and capable than the Hilux. The 2.8 l Hilux has had major dpf issues since it's release and Toyota hasn't fixed the issue to date. The triton is the only vehicle around with no major mechanical problems. Your friends triton must have been defective or something. Cheers
