SPREAD THE METAL LIKE A PLAGUE!
Rio Grande Blood helped me through a tough point at my life. I bought it a few days after my Uncle passed away in a plane-crash, and Lies Lies Lies was the biggest band-aid off of that record. Thank you very much for covering this period of the band!
Sorry for your loss… good when albums can help in bad times
Re-uploaded for the 96th time because of minor errors I couldn’t let slide. Thanks for pointing them out and for commenting on the previous uploads. Enjoy the video! \m/
Appreciate the care effort you put into these videos, great video for some great albums!
Your comment on WTV caused the reupload, thank you for pointing it out!
LOL I have liked this video three times already! 👍
This is exactly what I need from you Killbot!! Ministry is my all time favorite band and these videos dedicated to their albums are my favorite videos of yours. I hope eventually you’ll be able to go back and make some for With Sympathy all the way to present time. Or, more industrial content as a whole. You’re the best!
Thank You For Doing This Epic Video On The Underrated Busb Trilogy In The Legendary Band Ministry Discography And Rio Grande Blood Was Definetly the most well Produced Out if the 3 it had a nice Clear Sound And Its Definetly their Heaviest Album.....
Beautiful work, thank you. This era was absolutely epic.
Man the quality of this video is the best one you’ve put out! Feels like a high budgeted documentary or even better!
Killbot killed it again! 🤘🏽
I dig all of Unkle Al's Ministry. Even the Dark Side of the Spoon and Filth Pig era's which tend to be not liked as much by fellow fans.
If Killbot ran for Prez, I would totally vote.
Wonderful video and thank you for posting this.
I'm actually a fan of Ministry because I'm a huge Static X fan and after hearing their cover of Burning Inside on BBB I looked for it on UA-cam and yeah that's what started it, I honestly just like Ministry. From With Sympathy to Moral Heigene (saw that tour with Melvin's and COC btw).
There is remix from newest album like Static - x, Ministry, Fear Factory was like "holy trinity of industrial music".
Check Revolting Cocks. Old remixes.
All Ministry, up to Psalm 69 is still a huge sonic influence for me! Also Pailhead, RevCo and Lard! The Bush trilogy i never got into but i shared the sentiment! Saw them live at MSG, they were great! Personally, (i don't know him!), nowadays Al seems to me like a goofy cross between Jello Biafra and Gene Simmons. So i avoid following and keeping track of what he's up to.
Anyways , great video, shared some "light" for me on that era of the band and the Barker controversy!
Good shit man, I absolutely love Ministry, I really enjoy your Ministry videos, a NIN series would be welcomed too👌
I’m doing one on Skinny Puppy sometime this year
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttackYEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since it comes up for about a second in this video - Ministry got me into Bloodlines/VTM. My boyfriend was playing that game a few winters ago and I heard what I thought was Al, and sure enough, was right. In turn, the game got me into Genitorturers who also pop up during it. Great cult classic game with a great soundtrack, both the licensed tracks and the original score.
Genitorturers is great, saw them live twice
Man this brings back some fuckin' memories... I've always had a special place in my heart for Rio Grande Blood, I remember the first time I heard it I was with my father (a very educated metalhead) and I must have been around 4 or so. Ministry has always been a big part of my life, but Rio Grande Blood has always been strangely important. Another thing that adds on to why I feel it's so personal is my 9/11 birthday, and how much shit my dad would spew about Bush 🤣(not that he was wrong).
Anyways, thanks for uploading this man!
The Bush trilogy, specifically Houses of the Mole, is what got me into Ministry. Hard thrash riffs with goofy political samples galore and some weirder moments like Worm and WKYJ.
Awesome job as usual. Well done dude!
Great analysis of this interesting period of Ministry 👍.
It was like greeting an old friend hearing fast drums and samples again.
But it was also like a brand new band.
Excellent reviews of the different periods of that excellent band ! (tx from france)
Love everything from With Sympathy to Animositisomina. Everything after that?? Not so much...
When Ministry came to Raleigh earlier in the year I was the uber driver for the drummer! Really cool dude. He put me on to Minor threat and Fugazi
Oh cool! Yeah Roy’s a badass drummer
Houses Of The Mole Is Such an Criminally Underrated Album With A Killer Opening Track Which I Never Knew was A Spiritual Successor To N.W.O Called "No W", Waiting is such a badass Thrash metal song with a kickass Solo
Wrong Was More Classic Ministry Sound
Wtv Was Sequel To Tv II but more Darker and Scary Opening Riff and too put the Cherry On Top The Criminally Underrated Track "World" is such a beautiful Track Its like Porn to my Ears
This video was awesome 🤘🤘🤘😎
Awesome
Al told my brother back in the rio grande blood days that the M in the logo is a nof to anarchy symbol but at the same time two A's for him and his daughter
Oh cool!
Great video man
i love your vids dude
I love ministry my favourite album is rio Grande blood
FINALLY WE GET IT!
I love the heavy ministry albums even the surgical meth machine album,I love the last sucker album that's the album that got me back into ministry.
SMM is not good as old albums. Is industrial weirdo. So chaotic. I just laugh in past but now can`t listen. Only last position and first.
great job dude
You mentioned Tv song and Tv2 as being precursors to WTV. But there was a TV 3 by then also. On the Fall/Reload single (off Filth Pig).
Alright, i love your videos on bands i like. ps 14:48 -thats me nfs u2
Great Video. Though was hoping you'd go over what WKYJ Stood for.
I was not expecting another Ministry video.
Skinny Puppy will start getting videos in this format!
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Hell yes.
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack LOVE THAT!
Hey killbot! Great video! Out of curiosity, can you review the band babymetal? It is a fusion band between Japanese pop and thrash metal. While its not super METAL metal, it is still really good.
Maybe, not really my thing
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack Well thanks for considering! Wasn't really expecting a response so its still appreciated!
nice\
I'm sure you've said this somewhere but I'm very curious to know your favorite album/era of ministry. I probably wouldn't have listened to these guys more if I hadn't found your channel
Filth Pig, one of my top ten favorite albums ever. And I did a video on that, Dark Side, and Animositisomina.
@Killbot&GorGorAttack!! oh yea I saw those a long time ago. Might have to rewatch and listen to those albums since I'm seeing ministry with Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie
What are your thoughts on the early days of Ministry? I'm referring to the With Sympathy to Land Of Rape And Honey timeline. I really liked the new wave/ post punkish style the band had those days
Took me a while to like With Sympathy, but always loved Twitch and the Wax Trax singles
*Baaaaaaaaased.*
The O Fortuna intro makes No W, every other version is worthless.
I love all eras from ministry minus the synth pop even though it have some catch tunes
Love your videos on Ministry. Still hoping to get a decent Ministry album again... "Amerikkkant" was abysmal.
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice....
Never get fooled again 🤣
Yes in theory anyone can be president
As much as I love Al, his petty fights with former bandmates is tiresome and disappointing. I loved his autobiography, but his claims that Barker had little to no input were just ludicrous. If someone isn't willing to set aside squables for the truth, they shouldn't write an autobiography.
Peter Hook's "Inside New Order" is probably the only rock bio I've read that surpassed Al's penchant for petty bitching. Hooky, though, is a little more understandable since his bandmates kicked him out of the band (despite an agreement to split up if anyone quit) and screwed him out of future royalties by Incorporating the band without his involvement.
Lying about Paul Barker's lack of involvement in the songwriting would be more plausible if every post-Barker album wasn't the same copy/paste thrash garbage. Either Al stopped giving a shit about his "not making the same album twice" rule, or Barker really was the creative side of the operation.
I wouldnt call this a comeback from filth pig dsots and animositisomina. the lyrics went downhill here, but way better than their new stuff.
Comeback in terms of gaining a new audience, and regaining the fans that wanted the loud stuff. But to me they don’t have the timelessness of the the albums you mentioned
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttackAgreed
What’s wrong with the lyrics on the Bush Trilogy? I’d argue Ministry’s albums only started to go truly downhill when Relapse released.
@@ianh6760 Yes, that is when the lyrics REALLY went absolutely to shit. Some of the bush lyrics aren't bad, but definitely over simplified and repetative compared to older stuff. A little bit of it comes across as cheesy upper middle aged man still trying to be a little too edgy imo, although it is still fairly comical and self aware. I suppose I can't take it seriously like I can the older ones. Example: "Senor Peligro, Bush's alter ego, a family full of danger, and that's his middle name." 😂 Its also when every line starts to rhyme in a way that almost reads like a dr seuss book. It gets really bad on relapse.
@@sethmatthews7394 Sure bud, and lyrics like “Supplied become laxatives, My eyes shit out lies, I only kill to know I'm alive” are so much better from the earlier albums? Who are you trying to fool? Ministry lyrics have always been repetitive and simple. If you don’t like the post 2003 albums, cool, but don’t throw around bullshit statements that are obviously incorrect.
Ministry unfortunately got really cringy when they started supporting antifa and government covid policy. Bad Religion did the same thing. "Orange man bad" became both of their mantras.
American politics isn’t worth engaging in anymore since both sides spout pointless utterances of something-elseism, and are constantly blaming each other for this and that, this and that, and so on. It’s like watching two overly emotional children argue in a playground. It’s quite frankly insufferable having to witness a country tear itself to shreds by its own idiocy.
@@porcelina5834 Quit being so based, or you might get “suicided.”
Can't you just accept that we had an outright criminal conman for president for four years and did irreparable damage deep inside?
Boiling it down to just "lmao orange man bad" is extremely childish and outright cowardice.
@@GasmaskAvenger lol, look at who we have now. Selling influence, documents etc through his son.
What is the book you keep referring to with all the bts info?
Al Jourgensen’s autobiography
