After playing Prey I have devised this simple 10 tips list for those of you playing Prey! Although it may seem simple, I wish someone had given me these tips when I started - I hope it helps :)
Firstly wait till It's cheap Secondly remember Prey 2 was originally a bounter hunter concept which looked amazing ,now It's just Bethesda getting lazy again .
this Is currently my favorite game at the moment, played the demo religiously trying to find every nook and cranny...love the fact I can go literally anywhere I want...I recommend playing On Hard to give it a a extra boost of terror...Nightmare is well a Nightmare lol try if you dare
Having played my first play through on Nightmare. I recommend. Stun Gun, and shotgun as the best tools. Sneaking and the slow down of combat are a must
Well, in my opinion you can find pretty damn many neuromods just by exploring, and you can even craft them later on. So I wouldn't call them scarce, ammo however is pretty scarce. Especially when playing on nightmare, every enemy takes almost an entire clip (besides mimics ofc). Had a couple of moments where I had to start cheesing around enemies just to kill them since I ran out of ammo
I’m like 7+ years late to the party but just started Prey and omg underrated doesn’t even say it. It’s like Bioshock, Half-Life and Deus Ex had a baby. Game is unbelievable, so disappointed it never received the massive praise and acclaim (and marketing budget) it deserved
The best type i can give u is its possible to find a blue print for neuromods and this will u help a lot in all r playtrough. ( First floor off the Neuromods division at the Fabrication room )
reading everything is smart. but i would actually recommend to do that on your second save. as it helps alot when you actually know your way around the station
also. another tip for the second playthrough play it at nightmare. its way harder so you'll have to be more carefull in every approach. the mimmics are a real threat in this as well as they can kill you in 2 hits at base health
What how is this possible I swear that barrel of mead was just there and there wasn't a stool right there. Somethings wrong here (5 minutes pass mimick shows its self) What in OBLIVION IS THAT!
"Don't use gun ammunition, as it's scarce." He says as I load my 100th shell into my shotgun, of which I have 50 shells on me next to 22 foam darts, 165 9mm rounds and a constant 800 GLOO canisters and roughly 900 charges on my stun gun. Maybe I'm doing well for a game I've never played, or maybe the game is easy. Also, a lot of this gameplay seems to be "intentionally bad" at some parts, primarily mentioning combat. Maybe to replicate the experience a new player would have- consistently missing shots with the GLOO gun or using the Stun Gun when clearly out of effective range of the enemy- twice in a row. EDIT: I'm playing on Normal because I feel it's appropriate to go into games foreign to you like that. I had no idea this was made by Arkane and my ONLY exposure of gameplay was someone shooting at a cup a year ago. Had I known it would be so heavy on the "Dishonored" with a mix of "Deus Ex", I probably would've gone higher.
Question! After playing Prey, do y'all think it's better than Dishonored? Or nah. I'd like to know! Dishonored is one of my favorite games of all time!
Rick W dishonoured is way more fun , prey is kinda a slog by comparison , always dying and fast saving kills the fun. Still prefer this RPG based shooter.
gave a dislike because you asked for a like. best tip: put anything into the recycler but make sure it's in a stack. go to the recycler window and split the stacks. go to recycle and get a shit tonne more materials. Repeat this with the raw materials and you're set for life. go nuts making ammo and neuromods and shit.

Dejobli It's System Shock 3 using the name Prey for sone odd reason.
Camelworks is fudgemuppet now?!
Talks about gun discipline, kills a good typhoon point blank with a pistol.
“Spend neuromods wisely” good thing you don’t actually need any neuromods
