AWESOME!!! I recently (1 week to this day) adopted an African Grey male, and all I've ever had is Parakeets. I have a "flock" of Budgies in a bedroom, that they share with 2 bunnies (a Lionhead female and neutered Rex Male), and 4 male guinea pigs. I laid 2 tarps down so that I could use wood shavings on the floor. The birds have a large ferret cage (used only to climb and perch on), and several branches strung from the ceiling, to perch on. They get to at least do short flights (wishing I could provide large areas for them to fly!!). I'd like to put my parrot in just to 'spread his wings" and do some climbing, as well as stimulate him and introduce him to other birds, but I'm afraid that he might be aggressive to them, or they would "flock-attack' him for being in their territory. Any advice or anything would be MUCH appreciated.
Hi, I recommend putting the budgies away as it could be dangerous as grey have large strong beaks. Budgies are so pesky and your grey may lash out.
Sprinkles is really into Malibu. I saw how Sprinkles and Malibu locked eyes with each other. To me they seem to have the same face. Don’t you think? If Malibu‘s body were the size of Sprinkles, Malibu would look like a lovebird. By the same token if Sprinkles body were the size of Malibu’s, Sprinkles would look like a Superb Parakeet too. I bet you in Malibu's mine she’s thinking “ I like big and taller men!”
Do you know how birds know the gender of other birds? Is there a scent they detect?
I think that also, they would look the same if they were the same size.
Sprinkles is fallen in love with Malibu.
There must be a scent or a physical trait that helps them distinguish from male or female

Hi, I don't have anymore room to put Kingsley's and Malibu's cage in the bird room so I will bring them in the room each day for play time
Kingsley and Malibu are really neat birds, no evil streak in them whatsoever. I hope they are well accepted by all your birds. I like how the video starts off with Monty singing; yep, I like how you say that Monty thinks he is "boss of the bird room", he opens his beak whenever other birds are near Willow; LOL; Monty is great. Nice to see Sprinkles and Malibu getting friendly.

love your birds! i have a 2 years old female budgie: am thinking to get a baby cocktail, you think they will fight?
It's a 50/50 chance that they may not get along. They may tolerate each other while out together. Budgies are very pesky and may bother the Cockatiel.
Avoid housing them together in the same cage.

Is it ok to get this green birds that u have with Cackatiels in the same Aviary?
If they get along it may be okay. It would depend on the size of the Aviary. The bigger the better so that they can get away from each other if they need to.
Random question. Would it be safe to clean out my bird cage with “unscented” baby wipes?
I usually stick with plain water and a small brush. They have cleaners on the market for cleaning cages if you like? I would be careful of any other chemicals you never know??

Why is the green english budgie in a separate cage? Where the other budgies annoying him?
He is crippled. He was full of tumors. My vet euthanized him a few days ago sadly as his quality of life was declining and he couldn't get around. 😢

Summer is the kakariki, the yellow bird with a bit of red on her head.
Galaxy is the Sierra.
Galaxy is a Sierra/Grey-hooded Parakeet endemic to Argentina, Kakarikis are from New Zealand. She has a really international flock (; All of mine are Aussie.
