I find that amazing, you pulled it apart and put back together and didn't wash one bit clean.
How would anything seal or fit snug.

I have owned nearly every Stihl saw or worked on them. I logged most of my life. That saw is one of the best an fastest saws Stihl made. 036cyl an piston will fit as well. They all leak bar oil . I pay no mind long as they oil the chain running.

My new stihl 250 leaks unless I drain it. The dealer has changed the oil cap 3 times and when I picked it up it was leaking. I do own another stihl chainsaw and it doesn't leak at all. I have owned other brands and one had a case to keep it in and the bottom of the case was very wet with oil too. Just have to buy more oil and paper towels i guess

I put in a heavier weight oil. Once for ounce it's just slightly more expensive

Should’ve cleaned everything first including parts going back in as well as replacing the wear parts

My washing machine is 30 years old, vacuum cleaner 25, drill 30 and a lot more. We know how to look after things. The new generation seem to throw things out, even if it isn't broken. I call them the HP Generation....😆
