Thanks, this was extremely helpful for getting the add-ins up and running. I now have the dogbone fillet add-in and love it.
Regarding the nester add-in, unfortunately Nester doesn't do what I need it to do, but there's a much better alternative Fusion360 app called MapBoards for only $2, and it's very well worth it.
P.S. I'm now an avid user of Windows+E! I use it so many times throughout the day now! Thanks for that tip! Mind blown!
*ADD INS TAB* has been moved to the *TOOLS TAB* in Fusion 360 2019 . Ran into this issue myself. Hope this helps someone!
You dropped your Crown!
I've been pulling my Hair out trying to find this.... hahaha
There’s some useful stuff ferreted away in these videos. It’d be great to have a library of them edited down to the bits described in the title.
Hey, have a great Monday Lars!
Thanks again 🍺
Thank you Stephen Boyd
Fantastic, minute 11:15 was the solution for my problem! Thanks!!!
Hi, Lars! This is really useful, but I have a problem; after I nest all the components I can't move them around individually. Every component has a flag in the centre and they all align to this centre point when I try to move one. Could you please help me sort this out? Thank you!
What an awesome ADD-IN!
You have been a great resource for me. I thank you Mr. Lars.
You are so very welcome :-) Thank you for watching!
Thanks Lars for this tutorial, I found it very useful will install it shortly
That is awesome to hear Gregory Tutin .Thank you for watching the videos
Lars: I am trying to put an add-in in my system, but the add-in button on the toolbar doesn't exist on my system. Please explain if you can. Mike
Hi Lars, Thank You for your tutorial, i'm still noob but with your help i'v been able to sketch my first 3d printed piece, do you have in plain to talk about some tips in design to 3d printed?
Many thanks
Hi Antonio Catani Thank you for watching!
Did you see this one ua-cam.com/video/zx_GaUanrHA/v-deo.html
Just an FYI. you don't have to open the scripts folder, copy the file path, open the other window, then open a new window, paste blah blah blah...... ALL you have to do... is click the green + sign.... then click and drag everything into the window that opens. windows has been able to do that for several years now. since windows 7.
How do you get the A360 drive to show in explorer like that?
Hi Lars, it is perfect. Please let me know. If I made space 4 mm and to use tool with diamenter 4 mm it is not working. hould I use bigger space among the pcs? And what is a minimum for this diameter? Thank you Petr
Hi Petr Řezníček Thank you for watching!
I will have to try to test that out on my end and get back to you
Your videos are great, and I appreciate this one, but for manufacturing you'd need to make use of the entire 4x8' sheet. With the title of "nesting", I was hoping to find something automated for Fusion360 that would layout the parts to use up the entire sheet. Simply laying out a few outlines on the sheet doesn't help that much, as I'm already starting with designs optimized for manufacturing, putting like parts on sketches that can be output to DXF for laser or CNC.
Hi Michael Czeiszperger Thank you for watching!
I am pretty sure that fully automated nesting is on the roadmap :-)....Inventor got it this year, so I am thinking it is just some code work or whatever those guys who are a lot smarter than me call it.
Hope you have an awesome day!
Best,
Lars
@@cadcamstuff Any update on automated nesting in Fusion 360? Your videos are great, thanks..
install didn't work for me. tried several variations.. oh well..... thanks for the video anyway.
Lars. If you are ambitious enough to test an assembly of sheet metal components that have flat patterns, how can we use this same method but access the sheet metal flat pattern
Now you are talking. That would be a great example...
followed it step by step but once i re opened fusion, the add in i was trying to use wants me to unbug instead of the run button, it also isnt appearing in the drop down menu under create
Sorry about this. Go to the area where you downloaded the app and see if you can contact the app developer for assistance
great video, thank you! "half automatic" would literally be "semi automatic".
Lol, thank you. Semi! I could not think of the word
3:49 yer no it has been movede :-(
should have been a 3 minute video
thank youuu
