NOTE: When I said that こと has the same meaning as しなさい and してはいけない that is to mean that こと can express both must (with normal verbs) and must not (with negative form verbs) Source: www.edewakaru.com/archives/18928635.html
Thank you for your videos an that site.. i really needed a list like that at the end of that site. The only thing i missed was the information that the "command こと" is a particle.. and not the same as the 事 こと.
For 込む, I can't believe you didn't mention "読み込み中..." which is what video games often say when they're loading, or more literally "in the middle of reading and cramming in (information.)"
Just found your channel today and I instantly binged your entire grammar series (the parts I didn't already know). This has easily become my favorite way of learning grammar!
The only reason I watched this video is because I came across the word 込む so many times while playing a certain mario rpg game and your explanation was so good, that for the rest of the playthrough, I understood it completely effortlessly, every time it came up.
Love the videos! I've got a suggestion that you might have considered but not gone through with for specific reasons but thought I might as well write it down just in case. I can see that there is a list of the games in the video but I think it would be much more useful if the game title would be on screen when you show footage from that game. Maybe you don't wish to clutter the screen with extra things that might distract the viewer which is understandable. A compromise could be that you show the game title only when you first show that game in the video. Looking forward to the next videos in the series
Yes! I love these grammar videos! cant wait for the eventual 10 hour long N3 video XD play the other two all the time at work or in the background, has really helped me subliminally learn a ton of grammar! ゲーム言語のビデオが大好きだ!
Grammar video are better in shorter segments. I think passive listening to these wouldn't help all that much. Since your missing out on visual learning aspect and text. At same time some progress is better than nothing good luck on your Japanese learning.
@@southcoastinventors6583 oh for sure the passive is more for when I'm super busy, otherwise I pay attention best I can to make sure I know what the particles are and see how the sentence is structured. The passive is more for listening to how the language sounds and seeing if I can't pick out where that grammar point is, and i mean Matt even says in the videos its for listening practice too, honestly surprised me how much it helped. Currently trying to find kids style chapter books in japanese similar in level to like Goosebumps, Magic Tree house, Junie b. Jones, ect but Satori reader app and some games will have to do for now!
These grammar videos are my favorite:D
Thanks for enjoying the video! I'm glad you find them helpful!
I'm taking N3 exam in 2 days, so I'm watching the entire N3 playlist to be prepared. Thank you for this material!
勉強になりました!

You're phenomenal at breaking these compound verbs down in a way that makes them comprehensible. Thank you!
