If you're speaking purely on fighting capabilities, yes she is, if we are talking on her impact on the sport? She is underrated, without Ronda there wouldn't be woman mma in the UFC, her popularity was absolutely insane, just compare her to Nunes, Nunes is a vastly superior fighter and doesn't sell/appeal 10% of what Ronda was

She was incredibly overrated because her first fight was for teh vacant and new UFC women's 135 belt and they literally only signed people who they knew she would be able to beat and that's why she was so dominant. When she actually had to fight legit top fighters she didn't just get exposed, she got badly exposed! And that's the issue with pushing these fighters and giving them favourable match ups because the people who don't get that will always be better!
She also ducked and has protected from what would of been the biggest fights ever because she and the UFC knew she would lose. It was a marketing push! She wasn't one of the best fighters, not even close and that was proven!

Yes they are both overrated and it's funny you use Gracie as an example because both him and Rousey basically had the sport built around them to succeed! They was always given favourable match ups and kept away from anyone that would beat them until they can no longer do that.
Gracie's done the first UFC to advertise BJJ to the world and they wasn't going to do that with him losing. Ronda was the advertisment of woman's fighting on a mainstream scale and they wasn't going to do that by giving her tough fights. That's why she has no legit wins. When she fought sara mcmann I remember being surprised at the outcome, but she threw that knee and it connected well enough to get it done. Eventually someone figured it out, but used standup to do it. Ronda was basically good enough to pull off a ruse that she was this dominant champion of champions.

The point is if a 135lb non-Olympics level grappler can EASILY submit physical studs in grappling, what’s someone like Rousey gonna do to FM who has no grappling skills. Like I said if he will KO her if trading. But IF she can close the distance then he is in trouble.

Yeah, 100% correct. When the division started there was a couple dozen women fighters. She was fighting this small pool for years. They were the only women with records big enough for the UFC. Than it grew to a pool of several hundred with genetically gifted athletes. The fact also is most women were defeated before they got in the cage because they thought they were fighting some demigod.

In her era, she was fantastic. But if she was to fight a current top 5 or maybe even top 10 female in her weight division, she would not be dominant like she was in the Rhonda era. Simple facts, the sport has evolved and because of Rhonda, the female fighters of today have evolved with the rest of the sport. When Rhonda came to prominance the competition was slim, and female MMA was mostly women that looked like ring girls.

I low-key knew Ronda was all hype just like I knew Conor McGregor was mostly hype. There was a reason Dana was keeping Ronda from cyborg. Anybody with any ounce of common sense could see that Ronda would get wrecked if she fought cyborg. When I saw highlights of Holly Holmes before she fought Rousey. I said to myself. Ronda is in trouble. It's no different than with Conor. I wish I had screen shot my comment when Nate called out Conor. Because I broke that fight down damn near perfect. I said Nate had the chin to overcome Conor's onslaught. I knew this because Nate beat Melvin Gullard (who also had insane ko power) the same way he beat Conor years prior. Conor dominated 145 because he was bigger than everybody else in the division. When he went to light and welterweight He got exposed. Eddie Alvarez was the perfect opponent for Conor. But even if he defended the title. Conor was ultimately going to lose it. Even khamzat chimaev, who I'm actually big on, got exposed a tad bit. Most of these hyped fighters get exposed one way or another. It's almost like hype stocks. When people are hyping up a stock. I tend to short it..
