This is awesome. Can you please make more, my students had fun trying it. They’re grades 1-7 and working on rhythm patterns. They love WOTE and this makes them want to try it more.
1st graders are learning these rythyms?? in 5th grade i was learning how to read the staff still. i wish i couldve gotten a higher education and been ahead
Do you mean, semiquaver? If that's the case, then yes, 2 beams, or lines connecting them. Yet, he is playing them as quaver time interval, thus 1 line only needed. If he did play it twice as fast, then you're right.
These rhythm challenges are amazing and I love them so much. As someone who's always been around singing and instruments, but never developed a good sense of timing, this is so helpful
this is such a good idea :o I've been wanting to get back into rudiments because I feel inadequate when seeing all of the greats play. :) I really like this idea!
I'm having a really tough night, but I loved this! I wish it was a full video though... love you guys!!! You're my number one inspiration, and I hope you all continue to be YOU. Thank you, and have a wonderful night! :)

Awesome way to teach!
1000th like 😅
Students aren’t getting the diff between 8th and 16th notes tho 😢

@gaga congratulations, you have a real teacher.
The sixteenth notes (group of four) need two beams connecting them together… one beam makes them eighth notes.
Rekt
What does beams mean?

@@Mr-Safology He is is playing the group of four (pink cards) as semi quavers not quavers
@@luphaestus I just watched it again. It's quaver for the dark pink
The fact that the 16th notes weren't drawn correctly killed my brain and confused me until I realized that.
Those are eighth notes the other ones are sixteenths
@@thewhiteloaf2175no duh. I'm talking about the way it is, not the color.
I thought I was only one I was tripping out
@@Blanket147 Green
@@thewhiteloaf2175 A "sixth" doesn't exist (ok, it does technically, I know).
You mean sixteenth. 1/16. Double as fast as 1/8.
Love how the challenge starts making you smile when it gets tough and you keep going :D
This would be a great drinking game at a party full of musicians or music students
I thought I had wasted my time watching this video until I read this. Thank you. 😎🥳
they be drunk asf
Too simple, need weirder time sigs, like 6/8 would be a fun challenge for a drinking game
Very cool. This could also be a really cool way to teach rhythm to kids (or novices)!
They are the best two -They are always on time. They are always on Beach. The rhythm is impeccable. God bless.
Ooohhh I kinda want more of these challenges! Maybe with other people? Challenging bands you collab with?
I love this! Although you did write the sixthteenth notes as eighth notes lol.
Yeah I found myself playing it wrong the first time round because of that
They drawd the two lines to close, so it resulted in one fat line.
You are all such talented musicians! Love this!
Reminds me of when I had atrial fibrillation ..lol
Great job!💖
Seriously funny comment. (Even if AFib is not funny at all.). Stay well.
funny one, arent ya?
im still scared of having another psvt
@@nowaynohow1275 meant no offense.
glad you're doing fine and have a good day. hope you'll live to your fullest.
wow what a great exercise to study time!
Yes, indeed.
Rhythm, not time.

I've been wanting to get back into rudiments because I feel inadequate when seeing all of the greats play. :) I really like this idea!
I love doing exercises like that!
Amazing! So useful for students!!
That actually sounded good
It's literally pure theory, it's supposed to sound good
This was absolutely brilliant! So much fun
Made me smile!
Wow, great time! Even after drinking red wine all day. 😉
What a great exercise!! Thank you.
You guys are amazing! That's so hard
Brilliant! Such a great exercise for music students 👍🏻👍🏻

That's very good for practicing 👍🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This is great! I do something similar with my young Music students, using quavers, crotchets, minims, dotted minims, semibreves.

Ang galing!
Damn the triplets followed by the sixteenth notes always throw me off 😅
Haha, this is great! Well done! 👍
Brilliant!
This is fire bro
More of these!!!!
How incredibly fun. As the person in my band that is challenged rhythmically, this is hilarious
Nice mid measure metric modulations to keep the Time signature the same with those groups of 4 8th notes
AweSoMë
Oooo thank you I still got it
Insane ❤
I did something like this everyday in my orchestra room it's really fun
In music theory we just had a teacher clapping her hands and we had to figure it out. This wouldve been a much more effective and fun excercise.
But what's so special about playing randomized beat units? Seems like the most obvious way to learn.
@jason_v12345 you can hit every combination this way
Me at first: well that's not much of a challenge
Me half way through: ohhhhhhh
As a non musician, this in a Guitar Hero type game with stuff flying at you like the stuff written would be nice to learn
well that accelerated quickly 😭 5 seconds and i’m out 😭
More of these. ❤
This would be a great way to teach kids how to keep/change a beat in music classes
This looks fun
Wow that was great all the way through. Talent
