Very good video, i have the exact thoughts on reshades and all of this stuff but I wasn't in this community for long and couldn't find the efficient and true to original mods. This video has everything i've wanted to find, great job!
Great video ive been recently getting into improvement mods for various pc games. Even though i own the games i will still get a "drm free" copy to keep it all installed and portable so i never have to figure out the mods for that game again lol. I can store the folder of the game and know whenever i choose to play it again its already suped up haha. Im also making documents describing to my future self why i added mods and what they do. I share your persoective on modding to improve it but not changing the base game at all. Thanks for your work man
Hi Warped This is amazing and underground is one of my favourite games. I had it on the original Xbox Can’t wait to try this out. Just got to buy the game first. Your work is amazing thank you so much
I was running into a problem with applying the widescreen mod. After installing the game 1.4 repack, it runs fine on windowed 640x480. Copying in all the widescreen mod files and setting a res just doesn't seem to have any effect, game continues on running just like before. do I have the wrong speed.exe?
In the advanced graphics settings, turn off light streaks and motion blur. It borks the widescreen fix. The resolution will stay 640x480 or 1280x1024 because the game simply can’t recognize higher resolutions. But in the config file for the widescreen fix, whatever resolution you set, will be the actual resolution.
Great video! Subbed! Also can you do it similiarly for NFS Most Wanted 2005 and Carbon? Like there are some amazing pre-patched mods for these games, specially the Redux mods by KryzeePlays, that remasters and tweaks the game in both visual and gameplay manner. Can you dissect those Redux mods and tell us what exactly they used, so that we can mod our copies in the same way, but with more liberty and choices?
had the ver 1.1 of the game, patched it to the ver 1.4 and for some reason having the dinput8.dll file in the folder where the game is prevents the game from lauching for some reason.
Oh yeah so it does. I need to see if a couple of other mods have a fix for this or if a current mod is causing the crash. You'll have to avoid the wide boy stance at the moment.
Might need some clarification for this one. I got to the hd ui section and it says to put some files in a Binary folder and run a *.end file to install. My game doesn’t have a binaries folder so I just skipped it. Also, my wheels have really bad edges and don’t look near round. Not sure if this is the same for yours. They’re just a step up from having octagons for wheels lol
@@derekfcc Binary is a program used for modding these games. It's a seperate program. As for octagonal wheels, set resolution to 4k in the ini and increase the in game resolution as high as it'll go.
@@warpedpolygon much appreciated. Yeah, maxing out the ingame resolution and setting the graphics to high detail fixed all of the issues I was seeing. Got Binary installed and just about done setting up the hd hud. Then it’s time to work on #2, then transfer it all over to Linux. This was a long one my friend, lol. Might be worth revisiting and jumping into more detail on some of the mods. Lots of links to other links that link over to different modules. Kind of a pain, but I’ve already cracked this can open, gotta finish
Alright, got #1 and #2 straightened out. All mods installed. 1 is pretty much there. Still need to check some settings on #2. Setting the resolution in the ini file breaks the game so I just set it to 0 and let it figure itself out. Still looks better than any of the emulated versions that I’ve tried. Time to push it all to my batocera box and troubleshoot all of the errors that come with that process, lol. DLL overrides, here I come
Any time that I install an older PC game, I always check MODdb and Nexus to see what mods (if any) are available for it. Often there are a lot of amazing mods available. Some of them improve the game to an almost insane degree. I avoid any reShade mods like the plague though... bleh!
Im bit confused, 🤔 is this for the actual pc games? Or can i use this for emulation Pcsx2 2.0(new version)because u can load up files in the options like texture files, etc.

Thanks Dan! Yeah a.... backup..... is always advised just in case you wanna revert back to a non modded version.
I despite using most Reshade preset, mostly because they kept cranking up the contrast, bloom, and sharpness level to an almost cartoony look.
@@WheeledHamster I'm not a fan either, as you can probably tell. There's really no accounting for taste. True connoisseurs like us keep it real lol.

this is good content!
Does it include mod to fix cheating rubberband? Or will it be released by some modder? Cause it should be as essential as these mods tho
Rubberbanding in a a racing game is an instant "I'll never play it" for me. Awful mechanic.
@@Right_Said_Brett Rubberband can be fun if done right. Only a problem is not and Black Box NFS is very good example of this.
