TJ, another great video. I am a 68 YO, 19 HCP, averaging 91-93. My 2025 goal is to break 90 consistently, average 87-88, and reach 15 HCP. Getting proper rotation and pressure shift in my swing will be key elements to achieving this.

52 yo male, playing for 30 years hovering around 20hc but playing more the last couple of years and now 11hc. Best score is 80. Scoring average is mid 80. I have every round I've played for the last 10 years on GolfPad and I also use Shotscope (about 2 years of data). Driver distance is 220 on average with 50% FIR, 7 iron is my 140 td club. I'm pretty consistent but would love to take the next step and get down to single figures and finally break 80. I know I'm not pressure shifting properly, I learn by understanding the technical instructions and trying the feel so this video is perfect for me. Thank you for doing it.

i'm 75 yrs. old and been a 13 hdcp. for 30 years and always working on it. I can carry a drive 200+ on the fly and 7 iron 140yd but I don't need more distance. I have a decent pivot I think. my putting has been letting me down over the last few years but it used to be a strong suit.

Hello there brand new subscriber. I’m eager to try pivoting in the backswing and keeping pressure on the front leg. It’s sounds easier than shifting and turning.
I’m 68 and started playing last year after a 10 year layoff. I finished with an 18.00 USGA handicap. All I want to accomplish is to walk up to the ball and hit it as confidently as I would be if I had a Fungo bat in my hand and was freely hitting balls to all fields. I believe score will follow. I’m in the Northeast but have a simulator in the garage which calculates side spin. Ready to grind

Great video, I liked and subscribed! I saw your recent video "Unlock More Distance and Accuracy with This Driver Coaching Session" and really liked the content. So what mostly I think your message is shift your pressure from back to front leg but stay inside of your feet where your hip and knee do not go past your lead foot ( or your trail foot in the backswing) till maybe long after impact in your follow thru. I guess this why step drills help players shift their pressure naturally because if you step or fall into your lead side you will not slide past your lead foot. Which is why I guess the golf swing is harder for most than a baseball swing because you don't actually step off the ground with your lead leg. If you get past your lead foot then you cannot release the club properly and you always feel late or cramped up because your body senses it doesn't have the left leg posted up against to release every thing. So thanks, I got a lot out of this video and your most recent video.

Nice T, When you got to the Sponge under the lead foot it hit home for me. It's about Fluid Motion. Weighting Un-weighting or Better as you say Pressure Shift is the Ability to Draw Fluid from the Un-Pressured Foot to the Pressured Foot. We have all walked in wet grass and heard the suction sound as we transfer from trail foot to lead foot. That feel of Fluid Motion will act just like the ball in your Pressure Mat. Good Stuff my friend.

Without seeing your swing it is a bit tougher to give you a solid plan but as a hockey player (former hockey player as well here) typically more lateral motion in the hips as opposed to pure rotation. You can absolute break 80. Find your two weakest areas of your game and hyper focus on improving those. Don’t get distracted by the other things until you improve those first two. You will break 80 if you can do this. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it! T.J.

I ended this years season at a 16. My goal for 2025 is to get it to a 12. Do you thing that is reachable?

Anything is possible. You have to put together a plan starting now. Figure out your weaknesses and address those. As I tell everyone…don’t neglect your course management and decision making. Should be tops on your list to pay attention too. Thanks again for watching!

This is a big problem in my game right now. My last round I was +5 through the front 9, i ended up +21 after the back. It was a very expensive nice course in Mexico too. I had been practicing for this round for weeks. I lose my concentration and weight transfer muscle memory. Chunks and hozel rockets destroy my score when I start to get on the back 9. I play like an 8 to 10 handicap on the front, and a 20 handicap on the back, no matter the course. Its really embarrassing.

Thank you for the comment and I appreciate you watching! Either way I hope you enjoyed the trip to Mexico. I do see this with players from time to time. What I would do is make sure your intentions prior to the round are in place. Key in on one or two simple things and don’t stray from those. Fatigue (mentally and physically) can also play a roll. Drink plenty of water. Let me know how it goes.

@@TJVGolf thanks for the tip man. I'll make sure to try that. I don't think it's physical fatigue, I mean it may be. Im a pretty competitive long distance marathon runner so I think it's time to try and transfer that mental and physical strength into my golf game.

@TJVGolf Thanks! Low point control/chipping and putting. That's what Im working on.

Better idea; dont shift stay stacked on lead leg entire swing. Eliminate variables. We r not professionals, trying to move as good as a pro os why ur game maybe failing

High 70s too low 80s consistently. My current handicap is an 8.9 and my goals for the 2025 playing season are to shoot sub 70 at my home course, hit 75% on fairways and greens and regulation and get a hole-in-one.
