Ruislip Lido Railway | Mad Bess Steams Again!

After nearly three years out of service while undergoing its 10 year overhaul, the finishing line is in sight for our steam engine Mad Bess. Filmed over two days with contrasting weather, this video shows the lead up to and the duration of the steam boiler test which is necessary to gain the certificate which will allow the loco to operate again in passenger service.

Yes it’s our only steam engine so far and it’s a tender engine.
