I used chain wallet since 80s until now 2024, nothing wrong with it. It became a part of family members and my kids favourite...Dad personal memoribilia item. Enjoy, Keep it up brotha!
I love how you mentioned Japanese fashion! I used to work in a hotel and every time we had a group of young Japanese clients staying with us every single person had their own unique style, lots of gothic, heritage, and even a mix of both or more all in one. That and the amazingly high quality of modern heritage fashion has only made my love for heritage fashion grow. I only came to this video to decide between a chain, or a leather lanyard, but I stayed even after seeing your choice as your views are like mine. You also don't limit those who don't ride or ride anymore by saying "only bikers need biker wallets" etc which is great as everyone should wear whatever heritage fashion they want. Thanks for the great vid.
I'm from the Philippines but currently working overseas here in the middle east and it seems like I'm the only one here who has the taste of the heritage fashion. Mixed nationalities I've come to see everyday, they all look the same wearing commercial pre-faded jeans, crazy about Jordan 1s, yeezy etc. But I don't blame them. Someday I'm gonna make a channel like yours but for filipino viewers in our language, talking about heritage style. I'm still gathering some ideas and contents. Keep it up man!
Just started watching your channel and just got my red wing sawmill. I own a similar wallet from nudie jeans that came with a leather rope that’s really nice and it ages nice. I also have a pocket watch that hangs the same people laughed at but I love it.
Awesome! Don’t mind them. Thank have to learn to do the same. It used to bother me but then I realized that I’m different and that’s okay. Keep on rock in’!
Awesome video. Keep rocking that Heritage Style brother, as the wallet is amazing. I have the same Sun Glo Blue 2005 FLSTSC, I am a big RRL fan of many years, and I enjoy watching folks all over the globe, Japan, Australia, and UK, enjoy OUR Springer’s; I also like the fact that they get the Heritage Style, and wear it exceptionally well. Two wheels down bro.
Thanks for the amazing video. I have a small leather business. I make smaller biker wallets, but yours is really nice. I was wondering if I should start making bigger.
I love this wallet and it is huge. Maybe something in between the size you make and this one. I would like to buy it but I also would like to collaborate on the design. Please email me when you get a chance. Thanks!
Chris great video about heritage style. The wallet is gorgeous. I like the leather strap much better as opposed to the chain. Great idea. Keep up the great content.
In London and Europe in general no feeling of something wrong...Might n3 some places but I havw a feeling in America this is more a big deal. with wearing whatever you want. Haritage style in London is quute popular and looks just cool!
I knew it! Here in the U.S., well I speak for Hawaii, it is not. Everyone seems to want to follow each other and wear oversized shorts, printed tees (brand name or a saying), and slippers. Not bad but the moment they see me wearing my heritage clothing then most wonder if I’m going somewhere lol.
@@StylishGreaseMonkey Haha 🤪, I can fwel your pain all the way to London. Here people are so relaxed. Lots of people wear Red Wings, and selwadge is quite popular.. i love it that you can find Rockabilly, Swing, Hot Rod clubs here...Amerucana style in UK is quite good. But some clothes still not easy to find
Hey there .... Good video .... By the way I do have a biker wallet cus at some point it became that emo goth style along with pink ... But once in a blue moon I still rock my F&L classic biker wallet ... But I also have a envelope style wallet I also carry time to time... with a Spot for a picture holder a passport And cash .... I like my envelope wallet... as a modern western bill fold from the later 1800's... as well as my biker wallet ....
cool wallet there, I've been wearing long wallet from vegtan leather with tab and concho detail biker/trucker wallet for 5 years and I learned to make my own leather chain (square chain) from youtube, although my wallet is nowhere as thick as yours, I think the wallet will look more beautiful once it takes a distorted shape following the pocket and from being sit on, wearing long wallet is actually make the bill look nicer and sit thinner than bifold type wallet and getting the wallet out from the back pocket is much easier than a small wallet buried inside the 21+ oz jeans, I'm also in my mid 40s don't care what others say, anyway while on bike and bicycle I can wear this thing, but at home or in a long car drive, I put my wallet on my lap when I sit as it will numb my leg if I sit on it against another surface like chair or car seat for a longer time.
I love these things and I also do what you’re doing by taking it off prior to long car rides. Riding my bike it feels okay. Keep at it man, 40 is the right time to separate yourself from mainstream style and do what makes you happy. I just turned 50 this year and more empowered to not give a shit about other shot around me and proud to be my own man!!!
It stays in place pretty good. I also wear another long wallet that's smaller and fits inside my pocket better. I like this one though because it's just ridiculously wham bam haha!!
Interesting history of the biker's wallet! I totally get the aesthetic angle of it. I do have a question, though: does it not hurt to be riding on it, in your back pocket?
Thanks! It doesn't for me but I've heard that it does for others. This is the one you'll have to experiment on. I don't wear this wallet all the time and only when I'm out on my bike.
Hey man, kinda random, but I was wondering if you got any advice on buying a Harley motorcycle or any kind of heritage type motorcycle I guess, like where to buy etc
I think I replied to your other comment. My recommendation is to buy from a private owner and not the dealership. Get a hold of a motorcycle mechanic around your area and have him/her check out the bike. Some will only charge you like $50 bucks to check it out but it is so worth it. They will provide feedback on whether the bike you are buying is worth whatever it is selling for. Harleys are not cheap but you shouldn't fall for the cheap bikes either. If you don't work on bikes and this is your first time having one, it is important that you purchase a bike that is safe and fits you well. I like all kinds of motorcycles and actually rode a sport bike for a long time. I also rode a Suzuki cruiser before I could afford Harley Davidsons. I ride because I love the feeling of freedom while riding and not because of the brand of bike I ride. It just so happen I own Harleys now. Good luck man!
i want to design one with a cable and heavy hook to the belt for possible self defense . after dropping the wallet out of trucks, heavy equipment , climbing around stuff i got a chain so personally it's functional over aesthetic .
Haha, look at you, a natural! It wasn’t in the 40s and 50s for sure and truckers still do this so they don’t loose their wallets getting in and out of their trucks. I don’t know about sitting on it for hours though.
The wallet is beautiful, however I don’t recommend anyone wear their wallet in their back pocket as sitting on it over time causes misalignment of the spine. Many people have had serious back problems because of this. Just food for thought. Great video!
@@StylishGreaseMonkey Yeah man. I actually have two bulging discs because of this, and also the type of work I used to do. Health is important above all. Once you get old there’s no fixing a bad back. Just be careful, brother. All the best!
I like the leather wallet chain idea. It reminds me of old 1800 s cowboy stuff
The biker's wallet is rockin' in Japan with the Heritage style aficionados.

I'm jealous, it's a beautiful classic, a beautiful country, a garage of its own, ordinary life, many people's dream my friend.

Hye Chris Really love your style, got my RW & bikers wallet. Cant wait to style heritage/rugged looks. Love from 🇲🇾 MALAYSIA
Hey Aaron, I do love the western Malaysian style such as the heritage. I wish to be able to visit your country some day! Cheers!!
Really love that wallet. Any idea where you can get something similar? Thanks
I got this one from a second hand store in Japan but I’ve seen similar items on Etsy and Grailed.

Great video! Thanks for that, Chris. Man, the wallet looks awesome 👌👌👌It goes well with a Brave Star on a pocket.
Thanks Serge! I think videos like this one will be a good way to introduce some of this heritage/work clothing really well. More to come! 🤙

I know right, I should have bought more stuff from Japan also.
Your neighborhood looks really nice. 👍🏻
Thanks, older neighborhood that was originally built for the sugarcane workers in the 60s and 70s. It definitely is quite and full of character!!

Where did you get that watch strap?!?!?!🔥
I made it months ago. Thanks!
Are you wearing an Omega Speedmaster Professional watch ?
Yes, I made the ‘cuff’ style leather band. I’ll be making a video of my watches soon! Thanks for being here.

Thanks Adrian! 🤙
bro those are all i will wear I have the same one Ive been rocking since 2006 from lucky 13 brand and its finally broken in.
Oh man, that is awesome! I can't wait to finally break this one in too. Thanks bro and hope all is well!

I’d feel too exposed having my wallet sticking out of my back pocket
I did to with my low rise jeans. It’s not bad with this BS 14.5 oz that has a lower pocket bags.
A big wallet like can mess up your back.
It sure can but I don’t use it every day. It’s more like a statement than a necessity lol!
That's a purse
Too big and bulky.
That's a damn purse yo, 💯😜
Man purse haha! 😀
