Rolling out in the 2023 holiday update to Model S, 3, X, Y & Cybertruck
For some extra pizazz, get 5 friends together to watch the new show dance between vehicles in formation

You gotta appreciate the placement of the headlights. Low to the ground so they won't blind oncoming traffic like other modern pickups

How did they change the software in all added the delay
@@NewYork0110J With lightshows, you programme the lights for each vehicle position with an open source programme
Once it is put into 5 different thumbdrives for each car in each position, in the car, the lightshows are synced up to say "start at 9.57pm". So they will sync up that way exactly, and play right at the same time

@@feli_1 the base model doesn't have any protective coating which is causing people's vehicle's exterior steel to start rusting all over (yes for real). The coating costs $5k. People with money to burn can buy it.
The Arrival is the best light show so far!
Seems like new capabilities added such as granular control of the lightbar. Can't wait to create an Xlights sequence!
Granular control of the light bar is nice, but the interesting thing is coordination. Think V2X.

@@R_E_D22 Production already started, they are building and giving at the same time. First customers already got their orders delivered and so the workers so now the rest are also getting slowly

The lights flashed and were synced up... While attached to $400,000-$500,000 worth of electronic machinery. Amazing. My govee LED light strip does way cooler things for $30 including actually listening to the music.
The brilliant engineers who wasted their time on a boring light show that's been possible since LEDs were invented must be thrilled.
I guess I should assume that viewers and commenters here are the most hardcore Musk ball-garglers on the planet. "ooooh bright light flashes I'll take six please!"
@monkeysharts Can you do this on any other cars? There is a reason for that.
The fact that Teslas can do this is a testament to the company's front-to-back ownership of all the technology. They can seemlessly integrate, optimize, and continuously improve everything in the vehicle which allows them to do cool things like this on a whim, whereas other manufacturers are making similarly priced "electronic machinery" that has none of the flexibility.
You can keep your lightstrip though. I'm sure it's very pretty.
@charliewebley1664 Absolutely without a doubt any current major automaker could implement this gimmicky technology (just like they could have in 2005) if they wanted to sell cars with lies and gimmicks, (if they were run by bratty narcissistic donkeys like Musk) but they generally don't try to build their whole business model on false promises and desperately wanting to be Steve Jobs on stage.
There's nothing special about another gimmicky presentation to distract from the many substantial problems.
Aside from the major automakers, I'm confident that at least a dozen UA-camrs with tech channels could pull this off if you gave them $5000 and some LED headlight cars (doesn't even matter which car). Controlling LED lighting is not that incredible, even on adjacent devices...

It's the fact that Tesla is utilizing technology and taking full advantage of software & batteries -- this is where other automakers are failing (they are sticking to the same product with some minor adjustments here and there).

Of course flashing LEDs is not complicated, but you would not be able to do this on most production cars right now because the automakers do not own all their own vehicle controller ECUs or endpoints. Tesla is unique because they own all their own hardware and software.
You're response itself betrays a lack of engineering understanding. You clearly just really dont like Elon and want to make sure everyone knows it.

Not only is this such a cool truck, but the control of the DRL light together with the synchronicity with other vehicle working together but in slightly different ways, takes Tesla light shows to a whole new level.... fabulous 👌

The main headlights on the bottom means that drivers of shorter cars won’t have to be blinded in their mirrors as much. I get really annoyed when a truck/suv with high headlight placements are right behind me in traffic stops in my short car.

@@UnsaltedCashew38 It'll have a $50k base price when the 2WD model comes out. You're talking about the Cyberbeast, which is the $100k model. $70k for the AWD model isn't bad considering most mid/large electric SUV's are more expensive than this.
@@Darion350All before tax and OTD: Base is 60k, AWD is 80k, and tri motor is 100k USD.. I got a Y for 52k OTD last week and canceled my order after seeing the price adjustment and in truck in person. No regrets. Just disappointed a bit.

Wow!!! Who ever sincronized the music to the different lights on the Cyber truck did an excellent job!!!! Of course Elon is going to get the best most creative person to do this!!!!
