WOW, just WOW! This is by far my favorite Irish whiskey I've tried. So very flavorful, and the alcohol taste is not very apparent at all. I was able to pick it up for $24, I would buy this regularly at that price. Im a big fan of scotch, this seems to have some vague similarities to the Dewars 12 which is my go to whisky currently. I must say the differences between Sexton, Bushmills and Jameson (the last 3 Irish Whiskies I've had) are so glaringly apparent that it is hard to believe they're all the same type of liquor. The one criticism I have is that the bottle is shaped so that its impossible to pour without spilling all over the place, ill have to get a bartender pour spout.
I love Sexton! Has been my go to since i received a bottle for Christmas 3 years ago. Always bring a bottle to appropriate family events. A wonderful sipper!
Great to hear your take! Definitely interested in a head-to-head with Black Bush, which I've found I prefer in the budget sherried Irish category. Both run $34.99 in Virginia.
For us, Jameson Black Barrel is $40+ so we likely won't be doing that for a while. I would like to blind it against other Irish single malts, but those don't exist in our price range.

I enjoyed The Sexton and it is one of my top Irish whiskeys. They have a Walking Dead collectors edition too.
Have you had it? Was/Is it any good compared to the regular offering?
I'll pair this with a nice budget Irish Aldi cheese.
