If you don't see him seriously then it's not making love it's screwing around. And he made her realize that. Too soon? Molly is a textbook example of a narcissistic sociopath. She's inciting unnecessary emotional drama and causing others to be put in a position of pain, effectively trying to tarnish Luis's image. In reality, Molly brought up the controversial conversation and used it against him. Please see 5:14 - the way she laughs as she understands that she has successfully manipulated her mother - she knows that she's stirring the pot and is happy about it. Additionally, she simultaneously asked for his trust, but broke his trust with her. No empathy.
Molly is a grade A manipulator, I feel VERY sorry for her future husband, work colleagues, friends, and all other acquaintances. I honestly consider this personality type a danger and detriment to society.

Personally, I find nothing wrong with that. He wasn’t trying to be a creep and hint at him getting with her, Luis was just asking and he’s blunt bc in other countries people don’t beat around the bush as much with what they say as in the US and countries alike. As a step dad I think it’s good he’s trying to be informed, a parent should want to know if their kid is sexually active and not make them feel ashamed about it. That’s just what I think though.
